Running lean raises temps, as does disabling DFCO (Deceleration Fuel Cutoff) or CFCO (Clutch Fuel Cutoff).

A tune in and of itself should not raise temperatures.

Agree, but in stop and go driving..I would think the A/F ratios would be close, if not stock settings.

Have you done the basic lower temp thermostat swap and ramped up fan settings for more fan % earlier?

If it is the original factory thermostat it is probably due for a replacement anyhow. SLP thermostat seems to be of good quality. Part # will be 100228 if you want to go to a 160. Be sure to purge the air from the system when you are done with the install.

Are the SLP thermostats the same as mr gasket? Or does SLP make their own? Just don't want to pay double for the same product...any one know for sure?

Most of us have had no problems with the Mr Gasket thermostat. Had one on my 2000 from new, have one in my 07, no issues.
