can anybody help me with this matter?
-my car bogged down and stalled.
-after a few minutes the car started again, and it seems nothing is wrong. but in traffic same problem showed up.
-towed the car to my friends house to have it scanned with the OBD2 code scanner.
-the codes where erased, started the car and all was well and ok.
-did a few burnouts, doughnuts and jackrabbit rushes.
-checked the throttle body sensors nothing is wrong, but i did not have the throttle body removed.
is this normal with car that is not used regularly?
my friend said that this kind of cars needs to be exercise and stretch their muscles, is like having a racing thoroughbred horse and just keeping it in your backyard.
-by the way, i had the car since 2005 may.
-imported it from U.S. to the philippines. so parts are not that easy.
-i'm still waiting for my DIABLO PREDATOR.
-the only modifications done are the custom cat-back exhaust and the K&N Filter charger kit.
-the first time the CEL light went on, i have no idea what to do, the car was running fine even with the CEL light on. since my friend still does not have his OBD2 code scanner. what i did was remove the battery terminal for 1 whole day and after reconnecting it, started the car and the CEL light was gone.
-i have done this for around 4 times already, but everytime the CEL light turns on the car does not bogged down, not until this time with the reduced engine power shown at the DIC.
Most common cause = bad TB connection. MAybe washed engine, etc, got wet. Start there.
Actually, that is exactly when it happens. When I wash my car I will sometimes get the Reduced EP. Is there something I can do to protect any and all wires or my TB from getting wet?

All the connectors are "weatherpack". connections getting wet should not cause a problem. Many vehicles have o2 sensor connectors under the car that get wet all the time with no problems if it's a high mile car the tb may be bad.
