Default Anyone mind sharing a good 2008 A6 HP Tune

i'm the ultimate Newb to HP tuning, was wondering if someone on CF had a good safe 2008 A6 with 2.56 gears HP tuners tune they would be willing to share? quicker, firmer upshifts and downshifts is what i am looking for (probably like most A6 owners) ,well 20 hp would be nice too....

I took the one from 8850, the o8 vette test 4 and modified it a little more. Shifts are ridiculously firm, I bark going into 3rd now on the craptastic EMT's.

If this is your first tune read that entire thread and make baby steps. I feel like the car shifts like it 'should have' from the factory.

I'm still working on a little tamer tune. I'll post up when I'm finished.

Hey there, good to see you over here too lol.

Actually your tune for performance mode is great, I went somewhere between stock and that for regular drive. At full throttle its great but the other day I barked the 1>2 shift at 1/2 throttle right next to a cop, luckily all he did is give me the stink eye.

My greatest concern is will the increased pressure cause issues for the A6?

I am interested in trying your tune for the A6. Is normal driving OK with it or should it be toned down a little? I'm not all that crazy about the stock TCM program but don't want radical either.

I can provide you with an A6 Tune on EFI Live. I sold the LS3 and bought a Z06. Just have the A6 Tunes laying around in my hard drive. Not sure if it can be transferred to HP Tuners or not?? If youre interested let me know.

Still not quite there. I have the upshifts right where I want them with minimal TM. The downshifts are either zero TM or too much. Seems that many of the command changes do virtually nothing in my logs.

If you can make downshifts with somewhat less TM I would like to know how you did it. Upshifts are no problem but the ?-1 downshift and particularly the ?-2 are my problem.

If you have beta there is Neutral down shift skip TM and Speed Crt Termination. What the neutral down shift is, is when you floor the car and its is in 6th gear and say it drops to 2 gear. the tranny has to go to neutral first then to 2nd. With it disabled it will keep power has goes through neutral. K speed Crt termination what it does is ramp the torque in at the end of the shifts down or up shifts. With it set to immediate allows max power at the end of it shift. I have tired these, it did get rid of the - timing in the downshifts. But i wouldn't recommend these changes for high Hp cars. It will wear parts out quicker, i just thought i would post these just in case someone decides to try these.

I'll give the Neutral Down Skip a try first and see if that gives me the results I'm looking for. If I read your explaniation correctly that still keeps TM (Speed Control Termination, torque ramp) at the end of the shift so it won't be quite so hard on the tranny. Right now I'm logging more than a full second to downshift. That's awfully slow. Thanks Ian!

For the slow down shift, what i did was zero out all the shift adder and shift torque adder table. since they add to the base shift time. You can give that a try.

I've tried almost all the tables under Shift Properties that refer to downshift and nothing seems to do anything. Are you referring to the Power Downshift table that says Shift Inertia Factor Profile P-D 6-5 etc.?

The shift time inertia adder tables and shift time torque adders tables. Have you disabled the power downshift under torque reduction.

Only tables I see for inertia adder and torque adder are for upshift. I must be missing something? I have tried disabling the Power downshift under TM.
