Car does not start after transmission conversion

I decided to remove the A6 transmission and install an A4 with a stand alone controller. Does anyone know what modifications need to be made to the computer or wiring to get the car to start? Something is stopping the car from starting since the TCM does not see the transmission (TCM). I tried to bypass the CAN bus but was unsuccessful. The car is an A6 car. I have the wiring diagram for the A6 if needed. Thanks

Theres alot more to it. The BCM/PCM needs to be reprogrammed to make it think it is a standard, the CANBus loop needs to be closed, the tune needs to be recreated with a 6 speed tune, skip shift deleted etc etc etc. My freind still has the car. He should be putting the TEC 2 on it soon. Thanks for the suggestions
