Default 2nd PCM Question.

I searched the forum and learned alot, but I still have some questions I hope someone can help me with.

I have a 2007 C6 and I would like to buy a second PCM. I read that the serial number has to be burned into the new PCM and that there is a procedure to make the new PCM adapt to the car.

After this learning process, will I then be able to swap between them easily? Is there anything else that needs to be done?

Just about any tuner shop can set the VIN and do a case learn for a new PCM to work and yes, you can swap them as you wish after the second one is working.
A dealer can also set a new PCM but they will record it in the service order.

I went to my dealer to have it set up. After that no big deal to swap just the physical process of changing out the pcm which I didn't even bother removing the tire to do.
