Hey guys, I just wanted to give everyone an update, if I haven't gotten back to your email, I haven't been able to reply in a while. I've been getting my *** kicked by these boxes, I'm not doing anything but trying to get them finished and shipped. I had to make a few changes to programming and it's taking a whole lot more work and time. I'm pretty confident I'll have them in the mail Monday, but I can't promise, as I'm currently being reminded... you never know. When your parts ship you'll get tracking, until them I'll be working on getting them out as soon as I can. Thank you for your understanding. I hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day weekend !

[QUOTE=jdmvette;1602131348]

I'm sorry bud, I just haven't been able to keep up with email and finish these parts, so I figured everyone would rather get them done as so I could. You will get tracking as soon as it ships, thank you for understanding, I am trying to get these dialed so I can keep an inventory and have them available with no lead time but I'm just not there yet.

Tom is a stand up dude, you'll get your boxes like he promises. I was in the same boat with mine. Took a little longer for me to receive mine, and there was a point where I didn't hear back from him for about a week. Problem is his shifters are very nice and he gets a ton of orders. I went with the 5% throw reduction and will never go back to stock.

Even if you want to stay with the stock shifter or like me have an older MGW without the new lower box, you will not believe how worn your stock lower box is with only 50.000 miles. I got his lower box upgrade along time ago and never installed it . When I got around to putting it in, I was blown away with how worn out my lower box was, I don't even know how it worked! It was falling apart.

I just got my box today. Never did get a tracking number but it arrived safely. For reference I sent payment/order on 8/21.

It was odd that I was getting very good communication from the vendor up until I sent the payment and then got no communication whatsoever after he confirmed my shipping address on 8/22 despite multiple follow ups. In any case, the piece looks very solid and I hope to get it installed soon. Hopefully it takes care of the vibration problem I've been having. I was happy he did at least post an update this week. If it takes care of my problem it will have been well worth it despite the communication issues.

Just got back from the test drive....I have to way - wow. Worth the wait.

My high RPM vibration seems to be all but gone!!!! Before I was getting pretty horrible shift vibration 4k rpm+ (especially in second gear). It was incredibly annoying, so happy that this helped take care of that.

Feel is also definitely improved, things are smooth and just feels very pleasant to shift. Things are much more precise it's almost like things just fall into place, very good confidence shifting (I combined this with my existing Kirban shifter).

You might have to wait a bit, but if you do, you won't be disappointed.

I have his modified oem shifter box and his 20% short shifter and I’m getting that high rpm vibration. 😩

BOOM! Mine came in today too, and I put it in right away. PERFECT! Seriously well made stuff. WOW!

Coming from an MGW I had high expectations. Expectations met and exceeded. VERY HAPPY

Thanks Tom...

If you have any vibration go back in and loosen the box and move it the other way or loosen just a little and **** the box first to forth. All the way in first and forth go to neutral and see if it moved. Tighten it down go for a ride. Or just the gear your getting the vibration in, it not all the way in gear, also the shifter is not a hand rest, you'd be surprised how the vibration goes away without your hand on it.

This was the Billet Box with the Cup bushing on the stock shifter. Perfect. The feel of stock without the slop!

I'll be doing this on any C5/6/7 from here on out (I tend to wander between the generations, haha)
