Installed in my GS for a couple of years, but never had harnesses mounted. LH trim panel had a small crack that I repaired (see photo detail below).

Installed for a year but never used for towing. Some paint is worn off where the hook mounts to the chassis, but all parts that are visible when mounted look pristine.

How do I reuse my backing plate for the console lid?
Once you remove the stock console cover from the vehicle you can simply unscrew the backing plate. The beginning of this video shows you how it's done:
