Will these replacement lenses have the DOT markings on them?

I found the answer in post #71. The lense has DOT and E (for Europe) marked on them.

You are correct. Lot of effort to meet the requirements involved even though others felt the lettering to be superfluous.

The lens will also come with the black gasket installed. All can rest assured that the gasket being installed "Just Right" posed no "Challenge" to me. The fit is perfect and as they say the Foam Rubber is exactly like factory.

While lens production is being wrapped up I have already started working on the colored bezel and black housing reproduction. Ultimately my goal is to have a factory reproduction headlight assembly ready in about 12 months.

Got to pace myself. This is very expensive to do.


I'll go ahead and answer the number one question: Why I don't take deposits.

I don't take money for anything I don't have in stock. Although it's a matter of a few weeks till lens are in inventory I did not want or need any seed money to try and make this happen.

Also my initial order is 1250 sets so there will be plenty to go around with another 1250 sets coming late summer.

If the black gasket is coming installed, does that mean it's it's not an additional $99? Just a little confused if it's an additional $99 like on the website or if when you buy the lenses they come with the gasket.

Hey guys, let's try and keep this civil. When they are available there will be plenty to go around. Believe me I want these in stock as soon as possible as my lights need to be did as well. They look awful.

The lens will have the gasket pre installed. I'm trying to come in at 430.00 a set including the gasket shipped. This was the lens only price from before and saving you 99.00 and not having to decide to purchase a gasket or not.

The lens will not be able to be bought without the gasket.

Thanks for the update, Robert. Whenever you have everything in stock, and are back to doing some installs, I'll very interested in sending you my headlight bezels for install. Until then, I can wait. I'm in no rush, as this is only cosmetic. It's not stopping me from using my car on a daily basis.
