Default R.I.P. Mike Yeager Eastcoast Performance

Please pass along.... RIP Mike Yeager Eastcoast Performance!!!!

FOR THOSE THAT DONT KNOW my friend of many years Mike Yeager has passed away... i drove by to check on my friend to find the police and the hazmat team there to recovere his body... sad for me getting off at 11 pm.... He was the most real corvette guy i ve ever known... he loved the corvette, he loved his customers, and never minded spending time to help them even if they werent paying customers...... i started doin cars for him 25 years ago.. it was a 78 with flared fenders.. then his 98, then his 02 Z06, then his 06' Z06... the Z06 made 998 HP on the rear wheels.... incredible.......

As i hate to inform you, yes he was there maybe 3-4 days before he was found..not uncommon for him to sleep alot lately then text me in the wee hours of the morning... ive been on 12 hour days the last 2 weeks, so i didnt see him as much a block away.. But neither did any family members that cared.. go figure???

This is terrible to hear! I was talking to mike on Saturday (June 7th) night when our phone call was dropped. He called me back and left a message. I wasnt going to take up any more of his time on the weekend and decided to wait till Monday. By that time his phone battery was dead. It was going straight to voice mail. Called his number twice daily until I saw this last Saturday.

I too would like contact info for his family/ friends. He was quickly becoming a good friend. A friend I wish I had the honor to meet.

RIP Mike. You were a Corvette LEGEND!

Ahh okay, yes I'm used to dealing with the teams that do clean ups after a few days. I only asked because for some reason the original post made me think it was a "next morning" discovery.

Very sad, hope it was at least a non suffering end.

Sorry to hear this. Never met the guy but we talked on the phone several times. He gave me a lot of advise and info. I'm sure he will be missed.
