Default Deal of the day.... Stock Zo6 axle back bi-modes

In 9.5/10 condition. 20k miles. Includes actuators and work perfectly. No cuts or modifications have been made. I am going turbo.

EDIT: I am getting a ton of PMs asking if it will fit this model or that year....etc. For these to "bolt-in" you need either an aftermarket mid pipe with a 3" outlet (an option with longtube headers) or zo6 manifolds, cats, midpipe. You could also pay an exhaust shop to make your non-zo6 2.5" pipes mate up to my 3" zo6 bi-modes. You'll also need a Bi-mode controller to control the valves if your car did not come with that option.

$375 shipped or $275 local pick-up. This is a SOLID DEAL and frankly I am shocked these haven't sold at this price.

Both L and R included and both are in same condition. I didn't try to clean up the muffler portion at all so it's a little dirty from sitting. I did a quick once over on the tips to check for scratches.. They could be gleaming with about 10min worth of elbow grease and Mothers.

Just do the muffler mod. I had ZR1 cans start rattling in which the muffler mod had to be done to them anyway (Opened up and re welded). If I could do it all over again I would have just dont the muffler mod on my stock exhaust. Would have saved me money.

GOOD TO KNOW!

I did the muffler mod when everyone first started doing it on my 2006 C6. then about a year later had the rattle, cut them back open, and found the problem. Did a bunch of tach welds around the inner walls to the outer cans to keep them from moving/bussing/cracking.

So this time around I will be doing that the first time. Just read that the ZR1 cans have a different sound still. But its not looking like its going to happen anyway. plan to cut them open in 4 weeks.

you can EASILY replicate the sound of the ZR1 mufflers. Do the standard muffler mod PLUS perforate the pipe that is solid in the muffler. Most people skip this step and simply weld in a solid pipe and neglect to perforate the existing solid pipe.

I have too on 3 sets, plus I have had zr1 mufflers. You ALWAYS seal the perforated pipe but to make a slightly deeper sound (zr1) you also perforated the non-valved pipe. Most people do not do this but it is done from the factory on zr1 and NPP mufflers.

You hear people say there is a difference in sound between zo6 nodded cans and real zr1 cans.... That's why.

here is a pic of the muffler mod:

So your saying the 2 solid pipes, i should drill holes in? how many? and how does this effect the quite side of the muffler?

Here is the only pic I can find of what i think you talking about. Do you have to do that to both pipes? or just the one. does it really make the quite side that much quiter? or the loud side that much deeper?

What else is needed for it to work? I have stock exhaust on 2011 GS would they work?

Yes, that's what I am talking about. The quiet side's tone changes a little on the deeper side. The volume doesn't change though when in quiet mode.

In open mode it is deeper and has better tone. The npp and zr1 have that already done. It wouldn't surprise me if somehow it was a gm screw-up

intresting I will try it on mine then in a few weeks. why not, see if i notice anything differnt.

I was used to a LS2, cammed, headers, Off road X, and muffler mods.

this will be LS7, heads and cam, headers, high flow cats, and muffler mod with the holes drilled to.

If I'm not mistaken you can install these on a 4spd auto, just not the 6 speed auto.

No they will not clear A4 I found this out. Needed to keep 2 1/2 and reduce the Z06 Muffs.
