That’s right, you can get a brand new Genuine GM, complete with latches, hardware and weatherstrips ready to install, C6 transparent top for $1099. This top also comes with the new design latches. I'm pretty close to ordering. I have a couple questions - Does the glass top come fully assembled, or in separate pieces per the parts list? If not, do you offer an optional assembly service? Or maybe the assembly is simple? Is there a warranty? If so, is that warranty viod if a non-tech does the orriginal assembly/install?

Our Black 2006 3LT Coupe came with the C2L option. I kept the transparent top in 99% of the time. We sold the 2006 in February 2013 and didn't keep my transparent top so the car would still be original to the RPO Code. We bought our Black 2013 Grand Sport from Mike Furman at Criswell Chevrolet on June 24, 2013 and it only came with the body colored top RPO Code CF7. He gave me the advice to buy one from you guys so it would be shipped safely and would be covered by my warranty. I have been waiting to get a good deal on a transparent top. I searched the sale forum tirelessly looking for someone to sell one in my area or be willing to ship to no avail. I should have just took his advice, but in this case I'm glad I waited. Just placed my order: confirmation #31159233. Can't wait to see the sky again.

As stated in the original post it is a complete and ready to install unit. GM warrants the item for 12 months.

Got mine today. The shipping box had a couple of tears from shipping, but no other issues. I don't have the time to put it on right now, but on receiving inspection everything looks great. Packed with bubble wrap, blow molded foam packaging material on all four corners, and protective film covering the outer lexan surface. Can't wait to put it on, peel off the film, lay a coat of Chemical Guys Jetseal 109 on it and head down the road.

Question for anyone that already has the transparent top, do you guys have a sunshade for it or is it tinted enough that it's not a problem? I don't mind it being hotter in the car, I can just turn up the ac, I'm more concerned with the bright sun shining down and being in my eyes since I'm in Florida.

Tint is enough. I never even thought that the car got any hotter Transparent versus Solid. I'm a Melanoma survivor and therefore I hate the sun.
