The top pic is actually from their website and not a LS alternator. The large pics below are pics of the LS alternators. I've got a couple more that I'll post up.
When it comes to wire, bigger is better, especially considering how much current goes throught the system, but other factors often keep us from running larger wire. One other alternative is to take some of the load off the factory wire by running an independent 8 or 4ga wire to the PWM fan controller off a high current solenoid or relay. This would take much of the load off the main factory wire.
Pricing PM'd to you.

Here's one from a C6 member that just received his.

Another buyer, Choreo (Thank you John!) used his wicked skills to take some pictures of our chrome alternator after installing it in his C5.
My commitment has been 10 business days to ship out. They've been leaving Billet Tech within around a week so far.
Thank you for your orders.

Unless you get the black anodized, it's a simple R&R with basic hand tools. The only added work with the black anodized unit is bolting down the ground strap to a good grounding point on the block.
One great thing about this alternator is that you can re-clock it to locate the connections downward and in this sale, we're including a harness extension or "clocking harness" to facilitate that. This will provide a cleaner look for those that choose to do this.
We got behind due to waiting on the cases to get anodized. We're caught up now, so typical shipping time is down to a week or less. They're built to order and run through rigorous testing before shipping.
10 year warranty coverage! Here's the details:
Within the 10 year warranty period, any Billet-Tech alternator can be sent back to the manufacturer for dyno testing and re-certification of output at no cost to the customer. If for any reason a Billet-Tech unit does not meet it's original advertised output specifications, it will be serviced to like-new performance for no additional charge. Affordable freshen-up programs are also available for professional race teams.
The 10 year performance guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship including replacement parts and labor to repair the unit for a period of TEN YEARS from the date of purchase as shown on your original invoice.
Expenses for repairs performed by the customer or another party without the express written permission of Billet-Tech Alternators will not be re-imbursed or warrantied by Billet-Tech.
Expenses incurred for installation or removal of the alternator or accessories are not covered by the warranty. The 10 year performance guarantee will be VOID if the unit is physically abused, misused, improperly installed, or is not used in the original application it was built for.
This warranty is NON-TRANSFERRABLE. A copy of your original invoice and initial product registration is required to receive warranty service.
The customer is responsible for any and all shipping costs for the alternator to and from the Billet-Tech repair facility

Most ground through the alternator chassis. That is what is considered the "absolute" grounding point in a vehicle. With the anodizing, it has less than admirable electrical conduction properties, so they supply you with a CCA cable and ring terminal so that you can ground it to the block or frame if you choose. If it were mine, I would carefully sand the back side of the ears to create a good ground through the chassis mounting points and let the bracket be the ground path.

Bret was definitely one of the best vendors I've dealt with. He seemed to care when my alternator showed up more than I did. Looking forward to doing more business with him in the future.
