So if I'm not mistaken only around $11k over a stock LS7 crate engine right? Sounds like a deal for a fully built motor! You would not happen to have any extra 500ci's track attack engines laying around collecting dust in the back of the shop somewhere would you?

Roughly speaking depending on how much you pick up your base LS7 for. The list price is $19k now. I believe Summit or Jegs still has some at the old $13k or $14k price.

Oh yea we've got stacks of 500s just laying around.

It was worth a try Based off of the new list for a stock LS7 then this makes it an even more attractive deal for someone! That's a lot of motor!

Are the 610hp 570ft-lbs figures at the wheel or the crank? If these are crank numbers, can you tell me what drive train loss % you use to calculate down from the crank numbers or up from the wheel.

Cheers.

Those are actual crankshaft numbers from our engine dyno. No calculating going on here.

Thank you. As a follow-up, can you tell me the % drive train loss for a 2008 Z06? Alternately can you tell me what wheel Hp and Torque I should expect with this engine?

Cheers.

Depends on the chassis dyno (why I don't like them), but a good rule of thumb is 12-15%.

Thank you and I totally agree with you regarding the chassis dynos as there is a lot "adjustments" that can be made that changes the whp. The true measure is the engine dyno.

Do you guys follow SAE or DIN standards?

Thanks for the response Jason. Sharing your engine dyno correction factor shows genuine quality in your work as it gives customers and potential customers the most accurate information.

Cheers.
