FS: BLP-1 Brake Light Pulser System
The BLP-1 from WebElectricProducts is a state of the art electronic module that is designed to control the CHMSL (3rd brake light) of your car. The function of the module is to gently pulse the lamp when you apply your brakes. The CHMSL blinks for about 1-2 seconds upon brake application then goes steady and looks normal. If you release and re-apply the brakes within 10 seconds it works like stock (to not annoy anyone in stop and go traffic) but if you apply the brakes after 10 seconds or more, it blinks again. Mercedes Benz did a study about this technology and found it increased driver reaction time by some amount as the blinking light gets your attention faster than just steady brake lights. Easy to install on C5 and C6 Vettes. Includes all connectors and detailed instructions. Sells new for $35, will sell for $20 shipped to you.
I removed this from my '05 when it was sold, after I purchased another one and installed it in the new GS.
