anyone still on the fence? the HID high's are great! light up the road perfectly. all the people worried about flash to pass----------- Dont, it works just fine, HID's give a super bright flash when they first fire off then come up to temp.. I have them all in the 6000K

Has anyone ever experienced overheating of relays in the underhood fuse box after installing aftermarket lights?
A few years back, I installed some aftermarket fogs, and within a year they stopped working. Traced the problem to the fuse box, and the relay prongs had gotten so hot they melted the female receptor in the bottom of the box. Had to replace the box. Kinda expensive!
I've been told that the newer HID's actually draw less current than the stock bulbs, but, an electrical guru I am not!

How long do the high beams take to fully illumiante? I have had Hid high beams before that took 4 or 5 seconds to heat up..Not ideal for high beams in a car as fast as a Z06.
Where are these made?
