How do you make sure you have these adjusted to the same hardness on them? Never did adjustables before and want to be sure I do them right. Thanks!

Soft and Hard is simple you just count the clicks (see the adjusting ***** below). There are 12 clicks for adjustments. You have to play around with this a bit to dial it in how you want. I like my ride soft personally. I believe mine are at 4.
You don't have to remove the shocks to access these. They made it easy for you to adjust them.
