Default FS.2008 C6Z06 TR6060 transmission in Pa.

I'm looking to pull my transmission and just do a complete replacement with a upgraded unit. The transmission is still in the car and a buyer can gladly drive the car before its removed or have a local friend drive it before its removed to assure perfect PERFECT working order. No cold grinds, no hard shifts cold, warm, hot at ANY RPM. Transmission has 34k miles right now. I'm located in york, Pa. 17406.

Market price adjustment $1750.00+shipping

RKT56.com has been kind enough to offer to a forum member purchasing the transmission he would offer a 90 day guarantee on the transmission condition/function. Or if you want for a extra charge he can go through it upgrade anything you want for the cost of the parts only. Thank you Rick owner of RKT56.com. Stand up guy all around and forum sponsor.

Put in a 3.73 rear end ration and you have the same final drive ratio in first - 3rd and also have better 4th-6th final ratio.

Thanks for the bump 07MontRedcp.... they do not make 3.73 gears for the C6Z06,C6ZR1 rear differentials. I could go with a weak C6 rear and spend what I will on the tranny 2-3-4 times over when trying to run after a ET. Its a wheel hop, hard launch on a sticky surface away from BOOM IMO. I'd rather stick with a great tranny like the TR6060 and keep the strong C6Z diff the way she is. This is my thinking atleast not gospel.

To bad, I didn't realize the Z06 rear end was so limited in rear end ratios. I just replaced my MZ6 with an upgraded conversion to TR6060 internals with the Z06 ratios 1-4 and stronger 5-6 custom ratios. I was looking for better traction in 1st and 2nd. If I decide that I liked the MZ6 ratios for 1-3, I will go with a 3.73 in my DTE and have a really strong combo.

coupled with a cam, this tranny ratio should be good
waxer !!!
You copy the best here.
I have find another way to do something close to gary.
Crack you're heads a little more and find another way to lower the final ratio.

Maybe you could try 22" tires.
Best of luck in you're quest to be better than me !!!!

THe Canadian king !!!

Did you buy an RPS BC2 of course ?

Will the TR6060 be a straight swap in a 06z06?

The 2008 C6Z06 TR6060 should be a direct swap. Someone might want to chime in here to be sure. I think the 2009 ups the cooling port location changed. I know its a direct bolt up to the rear and torque tube just curious on the sensor location.

TR6060 has a 30 spline output shaft your diff is set up for 27 spline... So either internal upgrades in your diff or find a salvage/used C6Z diff.... Looking back I should of bought this but didn't have the cash and Bruce doesn't take Visa

Walhan you could change the mainshaft and bolt it right up which I could have done before selling it by RKT56.com a forum sponsor. You can updgrade your diff to be resplined by RPM or as Devilish said pick up a C6Z diff for around $1500-2000 and have a near bulletproof driveline.
