Out of curiosity how cramped does the footwell get in stick cars with this? it looks the base of the door bar gets pretty close to the clutch.

The Tubing is 1.75 and it should be pushed right up almost against the kick panel. So, not really obtrusive, still a straight shot for your leg to the clutch.

What time is this legal for?

What is the next step or what do you add on for the next level?
And what part of the bar?

NHRA requires a 5 point to run from 11.49 to 10.0.
6 point is not required at all. Some people prefer the 6 point to offer some extra protection to their passengers for road courses.

Yes you will need a certified 8 point. Do you do a lot of racing? Because you will also need an NHRA License. If you start with the RSD 6 point, you could have the Halo and the front downtubes added inside the car.
Ours is .083 4130 Chrome moly. The main hoop, down tubes and door bars are all 1.75" tubing and the harness loop is 1.25".
