Check out NPPs
I now have NPPs with an x-pipe from an '08 Corvette on my '05 convertible.
I also have the Mild-to-Wild switch which allows me to open the two inboard straight pipes anytime I want to, just by touching a button on a remote fob.
They sound great! I used to have Callaway Double Ds which sounded good but there was no way to turn off the sound when not wanted.
Don't be confused by ZO6 mufflers as they have 3" inlet (over the axle) pipes and won't fit a non-ZO6 car unless modified via cut-n-weld.
The NPP x-pipe and mufflers are a direct bolt-on. Only 2008 NPPs are direct bolt-ons for earlier C6s. 2009 and newer NPPs can be modified to fit '08 and earlier C6s but most folks prefer direct bolt-on mods. I removed my Callaways and installed my NPPs myself in about 2 hours on a lift. I am not a mechanic as they could have changed the systems in less than half an hour. Another thing about the ZO6 mufflers is they do not sound near as loud as the NPPs in the open position because they have fiberglass batting in them just like glasspacks of the sixties.
You will note than ZO6 mufflers sell for 1/3 to 1/2 what NPPs bring on here. If you have cutting and welding skills and equipment you can wind up with a great system by modifying the ZO6 mufflers to make them fit and cutting them open to clamp the inboard thru pipes and remove much of the fiberglass batting.
Good luck finding the system you like.
I run my NPPs open most of the time in local driving but prefer to close them on long trips so I can talk or listen to music more easily.
