If you upgrade are the bulbs easy plug and play? I have your DRL switchbacks and want something to match that blue, the headlights are more white. What would you recommend?
No, 4300k is. 6000k has a little more blue (not much) and a little less light output.
The higher the number the more blue it has and less light output after 4300k.
3000k is yellow.
6000k still puts out a lot of light, but it's not as much as 4300k which is what you have stock.
Yes the fogs (and low/D1S bulbs) are just plug n play. You have to mount the ballasts (fogs only), but that's simple. I would suggest double sided tape by 3m. We usually include screws.
I heard the lows were a PITA to access.

thanks for the clarification. It kinda look like the 6000k's were brighter in the pics so to get the most vision go with 3000k for yellow fogs in and 4300K for low beams? Or if you want to match both low beams with fogs use 4300K on both bulbs?
How will all of this/above with LED's in the rear tail lights affect the electrical system in C-6?
The electrical system won't be affected. These HIDs (fogs) only use more power during startup. After that they use less power than stock.
The only thing with LED tails is they will blink a little faster without load resistors.
LEDS use less power as well so you're not hurting the system at all.
there is another thread in here selling those tail lights with the load resistors so I guess there wouldn't be any problem just depends how easy the install is front and back lights.

All of the lights are really easy to install, the fogs have the most screws(7), one nut, and three plastic pop rivets, the headlights are even easier. Take off a few plastic pop rivets, a T10 to two screws and your done. I have pics of the headlight installation, if you'd like, but didn't want to hijack JW's thread. The fog installation is already posted in CF. Just did mine this morning 6000K headlights, to match the switchback, and 3000K fogs. Oh, and just in case there are minor differences, this was on a Z06. Hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
JW, I'll send some pics tonight of them installed in the car. Thanks again, they look great!

Thanks. Post up all you want. I don't mind.
All I have left right now is 6000ks (in lows). Someone backed out on buying them.

Ok, here goes, this is my first write up, so be easy on me...
1) Access is located right behind the headlight housing inside the fender well, as you can see it is a tight fit with the wheel still on the car. It can be done that way, but much, much easier with it off. I replaced the DRL with the wheels on, and had to turn the wheels several times to left and right, very time consuming.
2) Here is a close up of the plastic pop rivets to be removed, circled in red. A removal tool is optimal, but can be easily removed by a small screw driver, or small needle nose pliers. Note: The center pin is pulled up, see green arrow, and then the rest of the rivet will follow, do not be alarmed if center pin pulls out, remove the base, and simply reinsert into rivet base once out of the hole. The cover is extremely flexible, so there is really no need to remove all of them.
3) Rivets removed and back of housing exposed. The red box denotes the tab to pull the cover off using needle nose pliers. Comes off very easy, and when re-installing push all around the edge. The yellow box denotes the location of the DRL, or "Switchbacks" in this case, for those just twist and remove, bulb and bulb housing right there. Re-install and you're done.
4) Cover on back of low beam removed.
5) Remove the plug, in the green box, by simply and gently wiggling while pulling down, and remove the two screws, in red boxes, with a T-10 torx driver. Bulb/ballist will be in hand. Slide the metal/mounting clip (the bracket the two screws were holding) from bulb/ballist combination and place on new JWMotoring bulb/ballist. That's it! Re-install back into housing, test lights, and close her back up. You'll be stylin' and profilin' in no time. Hope this helps to reassure the ease in replacing your bulbs.
