Default Redused PRICE!!! FS/TX Stoptech F/r Never tracked ~300miles 6p 380mmf 4p 355mmr

I am selling my Stoptech 6 piston 380mm front and 4 piston 355mm rear brakes all the rotors are cross drilled and all calipers have original red paint. They have about 300miles on them total never tracked. I have posted many pictures so please ask questions. I am asking $5000 plus shipping obo. I bought these second hand off this forum and they are in great shape. I just would like some cash cuz i just bought another car to drive around daily. Included are the all the original stoptech pads and front stainless steal lines. I have cleaned these so what you see is what you get. The bridge tube was removed by the previous owner (no idea why) and it got bent in shipping. This part is easy to get through a stoptech dealer.

Note: I took the pics in order from left to right from the main pic.

Best way to get a hold of me is via e-mail at mark.pyles@gmail.com
I will answer them in the order that they are recieved but the first with money talks. I have bought and sold many things here on the forum before and i will have them very nicely wrapped. Yes they are off the car and i never installed them on mine. Yes they do not fit under stock Z06 Wheels the front calipers and rotors are too big. I am not in a pinch to sell and i know what this type of part will sell for so please not low ball offers. Paypal is accepted.

Reduced Price!!!
$4500 including shipping in the lower 48
realise shipping was like $180 when i got them.

I am very interested in a Z06 brake swap Hint Hint!!!
e-mail for prices.

SALE PENDING!!!

Thanks for pointing out (drivinfast) that this is not the set for $5100! I believe this set MSRP is more like ~$7100ish. Pm replied.

Default Humm

Will the setup fit under the stock C6 Z06 wheels? The caliper pistons are bigger then the 355mm setup for even more stopping? Did they come from David Zeckhausen? If they fit under stock wheels and they are better then the standard 355mm setup for our cars then I will make you a fair offer. I will call Zeckhausen on Thursday to confirm the best application

bump. Did not read all the post saying that you need special wheels. I wonder if CCW C10's 11 x 18 would work?

Well to save you some time doing the brake research (I am a mechanical engineer that studied braking and brake application at Texas A&M). Anyways the larger rotor increases your front brake torque. if all they did was increase the rotor size that would be bad because it would through off the bais front to rear. AKA these brakes have different piston sizes to account for the fact that the rotors are larger (note the Zr1 rotors are 15.5" and are the largest production in the WORLD) at 15" this is a monster. Much bigger than a stock Z06 at 14". This should help with brake modulation. Also with the increase brake rotor, the time the rotor has too cool before it hits the pads (as it makes a revolution) is much greater. This increases pad life and makes it less likely to boil brake fluid.
Note:
- This is the exact caliper ran on LG's World Challenge Cars!!! There are many valid reasons for the larger rotors
- The will fit with 4 different 18" wheels (CCW C10's, CCW C14's, Forgeline (new cast wheel from LG), and a 3 piece
wheel from Forgeline.
- I do not know who this is David Zeckhausen???

This is the cats meow!!!

David Zeckhausen is the largest stoptech dealer. LG (Lou) does not run those on his car. I was with Lou at Watkins Glenn for the Trackamsters "Open Track" event and he has Alco's on the race car. LG has tested different calipers and pistons sizes to try to figure out what runs best on a race car. I'm not an engineer, but I spend 35-40days a year running my car on different tracks as a instructor. Spent 7 years with a C5 and now a C6. I'm sure you guys are rght that the 380mm setup is awsome, but it will mean the purchase of new street wheels. My track wheels are c-10 CCW's (11x18 & 13x18), which will not be a problem. Still trying to reach Dave to discuss the C6 brake boost and master cylinder setup and what to expect with the 380mm vs 355mm. I had a "A" student with a C6 that had 540rwhp running the 355mm setup and that car stopped like we were hitting a wall. If the 380mm setup is even better then its for me. Go fast and brake as late as possible.
