I posted for help before and got some contact info for his shop. Via emails, PM and a phone call, have not heard one word from him since paying $300 for a HUD unit.
I disputed it with paypal, and they decided in my favor, since he never responded to them either. Unfortunately, he emptied the balance of his paypal account, and they have no money to refund me, so I am out of luck.
I know of at least one other forum member who it appears has also been hosed, and for a bit more money than I was.
Buyer beware.

If you paid paypal with a CC you can dispute it through your card company, but if you paid by verified checking account you're out of luck. I had a little incident with ebay (which owns paypal) and am not real satisfied with either. Hope it works out.

since I also accept paypal as payment for my business, I paid with my balance, unfortunately. I can't really blame paypal though, they are an innocent middle man. Maybe they offer buyer protection through ebay, but how can they offer it on every deal made through forums like these?

if his paypal account remains negative for so long they will send a debt collector after him.
i guess you could send a local member to teh drag strip looking to collect your $$ since he was parting out his Z06 since he was making it a full drag car.

Sorry about that, its true I have had that exact same thing for wheels favored on my behalf for $2k and the seller had nothing in the pay pal account so all I received for a "protected" transaction was 200 bucks. And they wanted police documentation etc etc. Paypal isn't all its cracked up to be. When using paypal you should ALWAYS send money by Credit Card because you can do a chargeback for a situation such as this.
Hope things get better

That really is total . OK everybody, let's help corvettepilot out here. Do what I did: go to Search, Advanced Search, enter 07WhiteDevilZ under User Name, Find All Posts by him, click on his user name, profile, then send him a PM showing your disapproval of his tactics. Maybe even a moderator could intervene and threaten him with being banned from the Forum unless he comes clean. I'll forward this to the moderators.

I'm not trying to defend the guy, but when was the last time he was on the forum? Maybe he is out of the country or something happened to him (like a wreck). If not I hope he burns in H3LL...
