With all the latest scams going on I have this to offer, what about a list of those of us who are willing to inspect sale items for other members within our area. Granted these items will need to be worth our effort and the deals would need to be almost done so that we do not waste our time Please take into consideration the generosity of the members and their right to refuse to inspect for whatever reason, also please be very serious about buying something as if this is abused people will not be willing to help and we will be in the same position as before and have no one to help us. I am in Dallas (will cover Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Allen, McKinney).

I would suggest that you request more specific city coverage from members volunteering- this would allow anyone requesting assistance to be more selective in choosing/requesting a member to look at product.

Keep in mind that, for example, in the Dallas area it would be less than ideal for me to visit Ft. Worth since that is ~40 miles or so. Another member might volunteer for that activity since he/she may live there.

Lastly, and since I agree that this suggestion is one that really needs to be implemented and has merit, I suggest that you contact Savewave and get this posted as a "sticky", not just in the C5 section, but all sections.

In addition, the 'sticky' should be a single thread - in other words only the members name/cities covered/generation 'specialty', etc. included in the 'master post.

Someone would need to be the 'control' person for maintaining these 'sticky' - will you volunteer? If you need assistance I would assist, as I am sure many others would also.

I would suggest that this might also be an idea that can be incorporated for the Vettes for sale!

It's worth giving it a try. I think this is something Forum members have done for one another informally for some time, but if it can be organized that would be good.

I can make this thread sticky and I can copy it to other generational parts for sale sections, if southernshark is willing to keep his first post in each thread updated as people add or remove their names as participants in the process.

I can cover Milwaukee area. I have some friends down around Atl and Birmingham that I could have look at things in those areas. I also travel back and forth from Milwaukee to Birmingham, Al and Atlanta to South Georgia a few times a year if anyone needs any parts delivered. I only have a small truck so no towing of cars or anything like that.

I am just putting the area the members are volunteering for in their post as I do not know the area they live in.
