I'll be around. We typically troll 696 and 59 around woodward. Lots of Mexico runs during the dream cruise etc. I'd like to meet and check out you car. Definatley one of my inspiration builds when doing my research.

Took a week off to vacation a bit. Got stranded in Philly by Spirit airlines. Had to rent a car and drive 9hrs home! Any one else hate Spirit?

Good news was came home to some last minute purchases. Cartek line lock - cause all street cars need that.

No idea how to hook this up ( what port on master cylinder and anti lock port). may forgo this to make it out for the initial tune this week.

Also noticed I fell victim to the broken / failed shift cable. Had to next day air one in and try to get that installed before the start up.

Plastic tube broke on shift cable.

So we caught the Rona on our trip and that has slowed me down significantly this week, missed my tune appt. 😒. I did get the line lock installed and fixed the broken shifter cable in between feeling like hammered dog poop. Putting the wheels and tires on tomorrow and wire in my flex fuel, do a quick "nut and bolt" check before starting it up. Should be in the trailer and ready to transport once I'm not toxic 🤒

Got the last few punch list items done today and loaded it in the trailer. Will be dropping it off next week Tuesday for the tune etc. Ordered a dash logic almost a month ago and still says " Pending". Hoping to get that very shortly after the tune to help keep an eye on vital signs.

Yeah these projects tend to spiral out of control. I started out "just" doing a blower and then "just" heads and then "just" forging the motor and now look at it go. I forced myself not to add 15" conversion and strange drag brakes all the way around. Maybe next winter...

killer build man! I have a very similar build myself. Just a heads up the trans cooler mounting area you have is still gonna run hot. Mine is in the identical spot with the same exact fan/cooler combo. I've wrapped my entire cat-back with Lava wrap and it still gets to 200*. I do have a larger convertor (3600 fti triple disk) that i lock in 5/6th on cruising. My plan is to actually take the left rear reverse light out and mount it there at an angle. These cars are so aerodynamic I don't believe any passive air gets through that pocket where the cat-back is. By no means am i hating; just giving you a heads up man. I've honestly tried everything at this point and still the same issue with it building heat. Best of luck on the build/tune as well. Looking forward to see what it does!

I need to get myself a white board to start writing stuff down. That certainly helps to not forget anything.

Default It’s alive!

Well after a long summer and sorting out a power steering leak, installing a bigger blow off valve and a bad crank sensor - it runs! Car made 805whp and 654tq on a mustang dyno at 6500. Still has to have all the trans tuning and some drivability tuning. It sounds fantastic but loud AF. Need to get some mufflers welded in.

For sure. Although not built for a drag car, I’ll use the strip to dial it in and will definitely enter some 10.0 index races at some local events etc. I think the trans is the next focal point.
