PCV Oil Collectors and boost gauge for a C6 with Edelbrock E-Force
Just finished installing the Edelbrock E-Force SC on my 2008 and it went very well. I do have two questions that I was looking for some thoughts on.
1. Noticed the throttle body had a slight bit of oil in it as well as the old intake manifold, I am assuming that was from the PCV hose from the pass side valve cover. With the E-Force you actually wind up venting both valve covers. Are any of you using an external oil collector/separator to catch that oil?
2. Looking for a good quality boost gauge that possibly mounts on the windshield pillar or other mounting suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I want the car to look as stock as possible.
Thanks!

A proper catch can is a good idea. Mighty Mouse is what I would use.
I installed a gauge in the dash as I don't like pillar pods or anthing that doesn't look like it belongs. It did require making a hole in the dash though.

Looks really good, not sure I have the nerve to drill a hole in the dash. I just ordered a DashLogic unit over the weekend, hoping that works. I appreciate the recommendation Mighty Mouse. Do you have both valve covers venting, and if so are you running them through the Mighty Mouse?

You do have to have a boost capable MAP sensor in order for it to read boost. You should have that anyways with any forced induction setup.

I do have the Edelbrock eforce supercharger on my 2009 coupe, the real problem for an oil catch can its that there its no space to put it on the engine compartment, its really tide. I end up putting it, in the front of the engine by the radiator. I have a mighty mouse good quality and excellent customer service.

Schpenxel, I did see a few of your posts, think that's what got me excited about the Dashlogic. I didn't realize I needed a boost capable MAP sensor, do you have any recommendations?

Ls3?
If so I think the zr1 map sensor will work. Tune has to have two values changed for it to work.
That is assuming the edelbrock setup doesn't already come with one, which it might. I'm not sure.

This is not my personal knowledge but regurgitated info, so take it for what it is.

Yeah, wouldn't surprise me at all if it comes with one..
It's easy enough to find out though.. once you get it just plug it in and see what it shows.

I just received my Dashlogic from AutoMeter/PalmerPerformance, plugged it in, and toggled to page 3 vac/boost.... an it indicated vacuum and boost from my 1590 E-Force. So far I have seen 4 psi boost under just less than full throttle.
