ill have to go and look to be exact but i think it was 14* at peak, 12 ish around peak TQ area. AFR is in the high 10s ALOT OF METH is going into this motor though. It is running off 93. it was on corn for a while but it was a hassle for his as there isnt any stations really close and he ran out of fuel a few times LOL.

Thanks for posting up and glad to hear that you are having some success and ultimately having fun.

Many people will gloss over the numbers posted for tuning, but this is where it's at for reliability with 93 and meth. I ran my stock LS1 engine into the 9s using similar timing and air fuel ratios. Nothing lasts forever but I can't count the number of times the car hit 150-160 on the weekends. I also logged 7200 to 7500 rpms between shifts due to not lifting the throttle. It's cheap fun pushing the limits of a stock engine.

I raced this car last weekend. I have a C6Z on a 100 shot and put a couple cars on this GS . His car maybe makes 730 std graph is a joke. My car makes 675 but I'm lighter.

Nice, my car did 144 with out a cam. Same mods.

To also clarify for anyone, he got it back from us. He was changing out the 1-4 gearing in the trans, AND retuning it. Gearing is something i told him not to do :-( . his car slowed down like i told him it would from the gear changing but he wanted it for more MPH out of each gear. Now he is not happy as he is loosing races he didnt before but its like going from a 3.73 rear to a 3.07 rear your going to slow down.

Here is your sae. What i love is so many people that think they know it all. STD to SAE vary. and there isnt as much differences as though. i even copied date stamps for everyone, and name so you know it was his.

well any anyone that races knows that Weather can change the cars 1/4 and mph a ton. I cant tell you the DA for that day. but I can take a car one month to the trans and run 10.0 @ 140 and then take it the next month and run a 9.8 at 144. so i do believe you ran the MPH you said but dont for get all the variables each day.

and if you ran 144 with no cam and just boost you had a heck of a perfect DA day!!! thats the days everyone wants at the track!!!!

Well when it come to street racing its all about the car and the DRIVER!
just casue you beat him dont mean anything about him not having the HP it does. I already explained his gearing he changed, AND your car is a Z06. i cant tell you how many cars i have beat with my c6Z that had TONS more HP then mine has. The Z is so light and fast. I also posted the SAE graph for you I have watched 750 HP cars get tore up by 550 HP Zs. happens every weekend.

Yea I don't know what it is about the z's, my wife's cousin put down 623 in his all motor and he was pulling 750-800 blower/turbo cars. The thing just works!

Yea 3100 stock. 2900lbs isn't too hard to do if it's n/a and that's without driver.

What are you doing to cut weight? Just basic exhaust etc? Id like to cut a little bit out of the grandsport.

Lighter weld wheels, lighter tires, front sway bar removed, he takes out the passenger seat for the track, he put c5 brakes all the way around for less weight and less rotational mass. The 06 Z was the lightest year which helps too.

He changed the gearing from GS , (Z51) gearing to base or Z06 gearing. If you make an honest 100hp over your opponent you should win imo.

He should bring his car to AMP in DFW and get a real dyno number imo. All these loose dynos breaking the car owners hearts when they actually use the car.

I'm making 750 on stock bottom end zo6. Blower cam, ihe, e85 on 7lbs at 6700 rpm. It's amazing what these motors can do. Several people are making 900's on ls3 with proper fuel and mid 800s on ls7.
