Holy moly.
Can LSR heads work with a normal intake like a Hi-Ram? Also, Tall-Deck aluminum or iron?
I always wondered what was in this car. I do not doubt you guys are around 2500 rwhp or more.

I have LSR heads and a normal LS intake will not work. I use a custom Wilson one but Edelbrock also makes an off-the-shelf carb style: LSR intake

Using the word money, and talking about a build like this shows a huge disconnect. This is $300k+ build with ease. LSR heads and the $25000+ motor to go with it are a drop in the bucket.
I believe Morris last motor that only lasted so many events was a ~400ci methanol running setup that took the mains out and now he needs to step up to one of the even crazier motors.
Yep 400ci LS next setup, and that block didn't last. Time for the $20k+ blocks.

the LSR head works on any LS Block to my knowledge.
we were making 3400 with combo in the car before we had a failure on #7 wrist pin.
You could get away with an all pro or a number of other aftermarket heads for the 2k range of power that would be alot cheaper than the LSR's

first time ive logged back on these boards in about 4 years. cars still plugging away. trying to reset the half record in 2 weeks at the indy shift sector. cars on a billet noonan tall deck ls motor with the same edel brock lsr heads. aluminum rod combo now with twin 98/108 pte turbos. 820# fueltech primary injectors and 2600 id secondary injectors. making north of 4k whp now, last e vent out we did a 242 mph with a 20 mph head wind and a turbo bearing completely shot.

Where are you running the mile? I'm looking to do my first mile event sometime in the next year. Gotta get all my safety stuff in order. I'm just a little dog with a bolt-on LS9. Looking to crack 200 MPH and perhaps a bit more if all goes well.
I'd LOVE to know what all 1 mile events there are in the east (I'm in Alabama). I know only of the Texas Mile (not exactly what I'd call "east") and the Arkansas Mile.

LOL! Yeah, I noticed that right after I posted so I deleted it! I doubt I'll be racing in Finland anytime soon but good luck with 242!

Good weekend out with the car. Fought a big headwind all weekend again (20+ mph in some cases) was a bracket car right at the 240 mph mark all weekend until the last pass. (first pass this morning) da was nice and low compared to the other 2 days (1800 this morning, 2700-3500 the last 2 days) and it was dry with no headwind (3-5 mph cross wind) we made our rip and went 3 mph faster to the 1/4 mark (182.5)then we have done in any other pass until right after the 2-3 shift (turbo 400 trans) I felt a violent shake which I later found out was the rear diff ripping the welds off the base mounts to the rear cradle (pictures attached) luckily we had 6 other supports that kept it in place, unsure of the damage on those yet. After it separated from the mounts it put a bind on the drive line and snapped the u joint and the yoke off the front of the diff. Was able to throw trans in neutral (hoping we saved it from damage but unsure yet) successful weekend, overall. Have to get the car patched back up again to take another crack at the rwd record in Abilene this October now. Some pictures and videos from the event below

You (and the car) made it home in one piece, so it was a successful weekend! Great runs!
