Default Nitrous guys need some feed back

Hey Guys quick question I have a 2006 Z06 currently running Ported heads, intake and throttle body, long tubes, cam 242/254 .657/.650 113 lsa, corsa axel back catless x pipe, and halltech 103 and of course a tune. I don't want to go into the supercharger route or turbo route at the moment but wanted a little more. car put down 550 rwhp and 500 ft lbs on a mustang dyno in its current form.

I was thinking of adding just a 100 shot of spray to it and calling it a day. probably wont use it to often couple times a year at the track. my concern is aside from all the normal safety features window switches and such and I know a good tune and good gas are important. is there anything I should be concerned about? can the trans and rear end hold up with this kind of power without any additional mods? and I know this isn't a huge shot like I have seen some guys running I just don't want to run into any major issues with replacing any major pieces.

we had done this with one of my friends car.
reworked heads, cam, headers and cai with 125 the car still running good. tranny can go up to 800 or maybe much more the only thing you need is replacing clutch cause it's will start slipping while you're @ 600whp everything els will be good and helpful to run.

also what's everyone's preference dry or wet kits? I really want to be able to either run 2 tunes and be able to switch on the fly or from my understanding some dry kits around 100 hp that spray before the mass air flow don't need a separate tune as the computer will then make the adjustments? I don't plan on going anything past 100 shot.

We do quite a few nitrous outlet kit installs and have done many C6Z's, here is my recommendation since your on pump gas.

Nitrous outlet plate kit
Nitrous outlet stage 3 Acc. kit (includes the following)
-nitrous filter, heated bottle bracket, nhra blow down tube, fuel pressure safety switch, purge kit
NOS digital window/wot switch
Nitrous outlet C6 switch panel

This will give you all the safety pieces needed to do it correctly and spraying a 100 shot will be perfectly fine. We can answer every single question you have about setting up a kit and even help w/ install questions.

In regards to the clutch we are firm believers in the Mcleod RXT line and offer unbeatable pricing on them, another great option is the Mantic brand.

We are here to help so please email, pm, or call with any questions.

just like mentioned above, nitrous outlet kit with accessory package. as far as clutch, I have been really loving the Mantic clutches. I have probably tested 90% of the different clutches on Z06s and all type of power adders and power levels and I can tell you the Mantic is one of the nicest I have had and Great price. RXT would be my second choice for your power levels. a really nice clutch too, but I am a little more toward the Mantic. just love them.

with your 100shot I think all you would need is a window switch. you will be running less N/A power due to the timing pulled for the nitrous hit but doesn't bother a lot of people since its only a 100shot and not a lot of timing is needed to be pulled.

and yea you say now you will only run it few times a year but I am telling you this will change after the first hit. you will get addictive to that stuff HAHA

The cam you have listed in the OP will do great with nitrous. A 100-125 shot will likely net you closer to 160ish to the rear tire and gobs of torque.

I'll be running something close to that but with more lift. Let us know which direction you go.

I also second the Mantic.

Love my mantic, I run nitrous outlet kit with all the goodies. Once you spray it you will be hooked. All that extra tq feels like a whole different car.

-A purge kit will ensure proper delivery of the nitrous right away, it gets rid of any air in the line before use.
-The blow down tube allows you to run at the track and protects you if the bottle pressure gets to high and blows the burst disc.
-The filter is to help protect the solenoids from any contamination
-The heater ensures you have proper bottle pressure which makes sure you get the most out of it.
-The fuel rail pressure switch is for if your fuel pressure drops low the nitrous cuts off thus protecting the motor.
-The window/wot switch is to make sure the nitrous only sprays when your under wot and between the set rpm window thus making sure you don't sorry when you shouldn't be.

All this n2o talk makes me want to put a kit on the 5.0 and beat up all the vettes/Camaros around here. I know a friend went 10.3 in Utah on a 150 shot in his 5.0.
