I always knew I wanted a supercharger. I didn't think I could ever afford it. So what did I do? I went the intake route. After installation and tune, it was about $1000.
Eventually I supercharged my Vette. I'm only upset that I drove about 10 months without doing it. I'm still pissed that I wasted that money on the intake.
I'm posting this for the folks who may be on the fence. If you want a supercharger, only a supercharger will do. Go to a good shop and get it done right. Don't waste time on mods that net you 20hp.

100% agree to just go blown if thats the eventual goal...
However i will argue that doing things yourself rather than a shop would certainly make the arguement much more financially appealing; unless you make a lot more than me per day.

Don't kick yourself. It's a constant progression. Parts that are not applicable to your new setup are just sold and some of the cost recouped.

LOL....you want to start a wasted money thread?
intake
1 3/4 headers
injectors 3x
vortech t-trim blower
c6z brakes
I can make this list go on forever probably lol...the more power you add the more you have to go back and get rid of other mods

You got the big expense of the first tune over with. The first tune you are paying the software license fees to be able to have the car tuned. Your next dyno tuned should of just been an hourly charge if you went back to the same shop.

Most shops that specialize in Corvettes have unlimited tuning credits. I don't see that as an issue. Most tuners tend to make minor tweaks for either free or a very small fee (if they've already been paid to tune it), but tuning an FI car means basically starting from scratch. Lots of time needs to be invested for it to be done right.
