i dont have a link for that specific piece..im sure you can just call and ask for it..

if your only adding a return then im sure you could just use A&A's method

did anyone on here ever get it done? pictures would be nice

currently making 617whp 552tq stock bottom end stock intake manifold stock tb wanting to do my clutch and pump to handle a 75shot and ill be done with the car for now.

here r a couple..i leak checked mine prior to installing it...put a finger over where the in tank line plugs in and put some power to it..better to not pull the tank more then you have to

Ran into an issue with my install. The old filter housing wasnt staying together and came apart causing a drop in fuel pressure. I went ahead and ordered a whole new ACDelco assembly and modified the bucket like before. Now it primes to 60psi then the pressure drops immediately to 0.

I took the whole pump out and submerged it in fuel and covered the spot on the pump that goes to the passenger side with my finger. Once the car is turned to on position, fuel shoots out the pressure regulator.

I put my old regulator in and same thing. What has changed, why is fuel dumping out my regulator? I had no issues with the previous pump assembly except for when the filter housing came apart. Overnight the pressure would still read 40psi.

Do you mean fuel is leaking around your blue block off fitting?

Or that the pump primes to the aftermarket regulator and it leaks there?

Stock regulator on the housing. Is this normal? Idle fuel pressure is fine at 60. Havent done a wot pull yet.

Ah, confused you with ironhorse pics that have the block off. In a non return system using the stock regulator I'd expect it to hold pressure in the feed line.

How'd the filter housing come apart?

Like it broke, or the o-ring leaked?

Attachment 48368739

And is the regulator passing fuel through it like through the top? or past the o-rings that secure it in the hole? Typically it passes fuel back down into the bucket right? Maybe the volume is too much from the Walbro 450 and the stock regulator fails or leaks?

One of the tabs on the filter housing was cracked so it kept popping open.

The fuel is shooting out the bottom of the regulator into the bucket.

I was under the impression that a few people were doing this mod by only changing the pump and thats it.

The only explanations are:

Faulty regulator
Faulty check valve in pump
Leak in between the two

did u use both o-rings.? are there any broken o-rings.? lube up both o-rings with some vaseline and install..make sure the plastic retaining clip is fully seated. it can take some effort. if its spraying out the bottom chances are its not seated properly. i think there were 4 tabs that locked the reg down..

Being that this pump does not have a check valve what did you guys do to fix that do you have starting issues with loss of fuel pressure?

What check valve do you use and where do you put it?

I've been looking at this mod as well. I would put the check as close to the discharge of the pump as possible.

This could be a winner:

Hello
Have been reading all the threads I can find on here about putting a Walbro 450 into a C6.
I would like to make this simple. Shooting for 500RWHP with a little nitrous.
Once the pump is successfully installed into the factory module.
Do I have to modify the factory in tank regulator system? I have read where racetronix suggests the 450 could overpower the factory set up.

For faster start ups it appears an inline check valve would be a good idea. Anybody use one of these fuelab filters with a built in check valve?

http://fuelab.com/products/race/fuel...-2/848-series/

Looks like it could easily be installed between the LH tank and the upstream fuel pipe.

Thanks

Install a C6Z pump and be done. My stock base C6 pump with a BAP held pressure at 63x rwhp. Without the BAP it started dropping at 520rwhp.
