Magnuson blower/fuel question
I have recently bought a Magnuson MP112 and was talking to my tuner about getting me dialed in. My car is a 2007 C6 LS2 6 speed. He asked if i was installing a boost a pump or a larger pump to accomidate the blower. I was told i didnt need it but he is afraid Ill be on the edge of my stock pump ability. My car is 100% stock BTW.
My questions are, what has anyone with the Maggie done with their fuel pumps? Another question, can I change out the pump to a ZR1 pump or another like the ZL1 pump? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Shawn

Those kits originally did include a fuel pump booster (aka BAP). I'd either buy a Kenne Bell BAP with a Racetronix harness, or install a stock C6 Z06 fuel pump. The Z06 pump is a drop-in solution and is what comes with the 600 hp E-Force kit. I have a KB BAP w/ Racetronix harness on my current car.

Then I built the motor and pushed the 2300 to it's limits and had to upgrade my fuel system.
Stay the heck away from the eliminator in tank stealth kit. I had nothing but problems out of mine.

Racetronix sells the harness.

If one company sells both wouldn't it be a little easier to get it from them than two different places? Also getting from one place I would think there would be no way to get a wrong part, and get everything youneed the first time. Thx for the info tho.........

Prior to my new Magnuson Heartbeat I ran a LS2 112 Magnuson for 6-7 years with "ZERO" fuel issues using the kit provided Magnavolt BAP combined with my OEM ('05) fuel pump, most of which was at ~560-570 rwhp.
No worries man, your good to go. Anyway, your gonna need the extra cash for new rear tires.
Good luck!

Yes, it's a drop in. That or a BAP will give you the extra headroom you need, but the Z06 pump install is a much bigger pain to install. That's the reason most guys go with a BAP to start.
I had a Z06 pump AND that BAP/Racetronix setup on my last build. For a mild setup, one or the other is plenty.

I was running a Z06 pump, KB Bap, and racetronix harness to about 650 rwhp with no issues. I just added an ECS stage 1 fuel system to that for more fuel under boost.
For your power level I would either go with the BAP and harness, or just add the ECS system, depending on how much you want to spend, and whether or not you plan to go to more power later. Adding the ECS system is much easier, and therefore cheaper than dropping the tank to change a pump. (unless you are doing it yourself)

Have a Maggie Heartbeat and pullied down to second from smallest size. And had to add a kb/bap. 559.5 rwhp 539 rwt. 590.00 for part install and dyno-tune. To replace the pump for a z06 in my base c6 was 2500.00. Boost comes on at 3lbs. At 9lbs at 6400 rpms. works great. 655 at crank.

An LS2 with a 112 blower probably won't make any more than 480 rwhp. You'll be very much in the safe zone with a BAP.
