Default forward progress

I have been a little busy with other projects but I am now working steadily on it again. I cannot believe how much time I have spent just waiting on parts etc. I now have most of the cage in the car and the engine is almost fully complete. I received the new strange front and rear brakes and the ID2000 injectors as well as the Dsteck E85 sensor kit. The new Fore fuel system is on its way and I should get it tomorrow. The Yank custom converter is already here and I.m planning to bring the car and engine over to RPM transmissions hopefully this week. Rodney and the guys are going to drop the drivetrain in it while I work on a cage for one of their customers. I.m finally getting a little excited as I was losing interest with waiting on companies to send the parts I ordered. I just took it off the engine stand and put it on the transport stand to go to RPM Tansmissions.

Here's a pic of the engine. Ummmm image posting doesn't' seem to work today.

heres a link until it is working again:

thought I would share an issue and solution.
I installed shaft rockers which requires valve cover spacers or taller covers. I went with spacers for now but the height difference left me with no room to have the alternator clear the higher position of the covers. I designed and built a billet bracket that rolls the alternator out enough to clear the valve cover. If anyone needs one of these let me know and I might make a few more. here are 2 pics

Your build looks awesome... I've seen your cage work and I can't wait to have you put a 10 point in my C6Z... I'm the guy Carmen from RPM Transmissions asked about doing the cage for me...

Please keep us in the loop with updates once it is done! socialmedia@procharger.com

Such a great build, can't wait to see the results. Not many have run the F-1X off an 8rib, however there is now 1 Mustang in the 7s running an "x" and a 8rib, and just recently a little F-1A just went 7's in Mustang.

I ran into the alternator issue trying to use KMJ tall valve covers to clear my Jesel rockers. I ended up removing some fins from the alternator. But those covers were **** and I ended up using Proform/GMPP tall covers which cleared without issue.

PS: Motor look great!

~$275 to my door.

Forgot that the coil brackets were another ~$60.

So net-net they are very similar to Katech's but cheaper.

Trust me, all of us here in the office are just a weeee bit excited as well. All of us were blown away, and had no idea you had plans in store to turn it up.

The F-1X is a wicked blower, that has helped lead to new compressor designs that are already making huge waves in the racing scene. (The F-1A little 9" blower, that just went 7's, with a 318" Ford Pushrod motor)

the all the way up build is a ways off.. we are running the 4" pully right now so i can rev to 7400ish.. once i do a zr1 trans im going to put the 3.8 " on it and shoot for 1400ish boost only

right now its putting down a measly 1300 ish all boost on a conservative tune Build thread will follow soon
