Default 8 Second Street car C6Z (Video)

Took a car we just finished to the track this weekend. This is the first 3 passes on the setup. Its an ERL short block, A&A kit with an F1R procharger on 19 psi, RPM Transmissions powerglide trans, AIS Meth kit. 345/30/18 MT Drag radial. More boost and a gear change to come shortly

I have the RPM PG with 3.42 Z06 Quaife rear, converter is a Coan about at 3800-4000. I can drive some on the hwy. at about 65 MPH and that puts my RPMs at just under 3000 (2800 or so).
I've had this set up since March 2013.

Only reason we have no exh. is bc we didnt have time to fab it yet after the PG swap before this track rental. Launching around 1800.

3.73 gear. Probably going to put a 9 inch in it unless we can trade for a stage 3 C6 diff with stock gearing.

Nice work there!
So you are going with less aggressive gearing? Also, what converter?

It is tempting for sure. Can you PM the cost if you don't mind sharing.

For the PG conversion? That must be with the 9" rear and stuff. The 4l80 conversion is $13-14k and the PG is cheaper so I can't see it being $20k. ECS sells it for ~$8k+ convertor.

That is about correct. I tried to talk to ECS first but never got much info from them....so RPM got my business.

Yah, that is what RPM quoted me on just parts for a 4l80 swap. No labor, nothing but most of the hard parts.

I wish autos were cheaper.

Wow Great job Fran!

160 mph with an F1R is killer!!

That a 4.25" pulley on it? Thru the air filter?

Your setup is obviously way more efficient then mine with an F1R.. The PG must really free up some power to the wheels compared to a 4l60e.

You guys weigh the car?

Wish I could run 160...
