A blower cam and a 3.25 pulley might not quite get you to 600 wheel, but it would be close. A 3.0 would do it. You might have to deal with belt slip with the smaller pulley though. You would be slippin' with a Maggie TVS. Definitely consider meth with the smaller pulley.

More solid advice. I had no slip with a 3 inch once I got the belt size right. With the 2.75, I went to a 90 mm idler pulley which gives a touch more wrap on the blower pulley. So far so good.

Do you recommend going with the 3" or 2.75" pulley, and if so what other mods would I need. My goal is to make 600rwhp.

Thanks!
I've had my e-force 554 for about a month but the rest of my car is stock and am loving it but learned a ton about what a good tuner can do for you. The stock flash got me to 450 rwhp but with a little HP tuner magic another 42 hp was added on my LS2. I'm at 492 rwhp with 5 lbs. of boost and the stock pulley. I am at 15 degrees of timing however and still running a cool fuel/air ratio at 11.3% vs. 13.3% from the factory.

I love my drivability I kept and get 28.3 mpg at 73 mph on the interstate for instance but love the torque it makes and puts me back in my seat hard. My tuner and I talked over other options including a smaller pulley and I wouldn't put more than 8 lbs. of boost on my stock engine but just more boost isn't the only consideration. If I went with a smaller pulley up goes the heat and out comes the timing...about 6 degrees so my tuner thinks it's then about a wash but less efficient as pumps go...and that's all our engines really are.

If I go down a pulley size it will be because I'll add headers and tubes and lose some back pressure and boost lbs. The smaller pulley would get me back to 5 lbs. of boost and another 40-50 hp my tuner figures.

I was not hung up on a number to reach and just wanted safe performance, don't track, don't race...but like that feel of the torque that just mashes you into the seat. You have to figure what you want but consider other factors when dialing down the pulley.

Have fun....

Thanks for the input. I'll be happy with 560-600rwhp.

Default leans out

just had my 06 ls2 dyno'd. maxed out at 493rwhp due to running lean above 5500 rpm which caused timing to be pulled. edlebrock 52lbs injectors factory fuel pmp. Is a boost a pmp need or new large injectors as the 52lbs one are at 100% duty cycle. if injectors which ones would fit in the edlebrock rails.

Maybe your injectors are at 100% due to a loss
Of fuel Pressure? The 52 lb at a 80% max duty
And a bsfc of even .60 are good for around 640
At the crank. Was your fuel Pressure holding?

that's my guess also. as the car has 78k on it (old pmp) looking at changing the pmp. read that some pmps as they get warm lose psi. But at 493 rwhp and 20% for loss (A6) looking right at 600 hp at the flywheel.

You will be happy with that. I'm in the 563~7rwhp range and i'm spinning tires easily in 1st and 2nd gears. then again those are nitto invos, hopefully switching to NT05s will give me better traction, somewhat. Takes a while to warm those tires up on regular DD routes.

OP, I just put down 602whp, and 576WTQ with the Eforce, 599 kit, 3.25" pulley, ID850cc injectors, ARH headers, and catless x, zr1 cam, ALKY Control, and 3" exhaust...

picked up an additional 92whp with adding the meth, catless x, and 850s... before i had 510whp with the stock 550cc edelbrock kit injectors, no meth, and cats.

big change.

Nice power. Similar to what I made with similar mods before doing upgrades. The extra power is coming mostly from the meth and removing cats.

Do not run cats on these eforce cars. After my stock ones fell apart I went with ARH headers and high flow cats. Those cats broke up too and were costing me tons of power. Cats just don't take to boost well.

yea, it's definitely awesome now... and not that much louder since I have the borla 3" touring for the z06 car...

the 50-100mph time is QUICK.

I thought the E-force 554 kit used a 3.75" pulley?

I am in the same boat as the OP. My car hits the shop this saturday.

2013 6-speed manual coupe, 599 E-force kit and I am having the 3.25" (stock 599 uses the 3.5") pulley put on with LG 1-7/8" headers (with cats) and 3" X-pipe with the B&B PRT axle back system. I get conflicting information on power output. We shall see what it does.

You're going to run out of injector.

I was at 100% DC on the 3.5 pulley at redline.

3 things.
A: Get a bigger set of injectors to run that setup (3.25)
B: KILL THE CATS. they're gonna melt, and rob some HP.
C: REALLY consider Meth... the 3.5 was enough boost to just create huge amnts of heat, and pull timing.
the meth cures both those problems.

Link to upgraded tensioner please...
My stock dayco one blew itself past the bump stops and got stuck, had to pry it back apart... upgraded to a Gates unit, no problems... YET.

lemme see what you're using?

Curious also if something better is available. I am running the new model the edelbrock sent me, with no problems yet, but in case I have any it would be good to know of something better.

I purchased it directly from Edelbrock.

Hrm......two different shops who do this on a regular basis said the ones I have will be fine and should support it but if I was going with a cam and more boost I would need to upgrade. I will call them back and check again.

I drive the car to work daily (sometimes suit and tie) and dont want the fuel smell which I have smelled on many cars. That is a big issue for me. I might skip the cats if I can get the car NOT to have any smell.

This is also as far as I am going for power on the stock LS3. If I decide to build it I will tear it down and have it built for boost.
