05 diff to 06 diff
Broke my 05 diff need to upgrade to the 06 diff. Need advice about whether to get a up graded to stage two or three rear end. The car will not be tracked. But it is supercharged and can and heads don't know the hp. Thanks.

If you need another stock 05 diff I have one. And not sure if you know but a 06+ rear diff is not a direct bolt in.
I used a c5 diff and upgraded my trans main shaft to a 5310 hardened shaft with 300m half shafts in diff. Has supported over 700hp on track and street for over a year.

I used a C5 diff as well when my '05 diff cracked. Way cheaper. I have an extra stanger adapter bracket too if you decide to go that route.

I swapped out my '05 diff. to a '06 diff. by using this transmission case adapter + a set of new C5 Z06 axles.

You had better pull that trans apart and check the output shaft. You have to chuck it up on a lathe and measure the center bearing journal. If it is more than .003 of runout you will need to replace that before installing a new diff. If not you will end up having a pinion bearing failure on the new diff.
You can't measure the runout on the outputs shaft with it in the trans.
