Default planning on going forced induction..NEED HELP

I have a 08 z51 manual ls3 c6.. I wanna try out this forced induction lifestyle!! Well I wanna know is it possible to hit 700hp without have to forge the engine or blow it up??I drag race..so would this be pushing a stock engine to the limits..it already has lt kooks, borla exhaust, cai..but i wanna do the vortec charger and a cam...what do u guys think..and also what type of times are six speed guys laying down with similar setups..9 would be niiiiiiiice!!!!

If you do a cam/springs swap and one of our A&A S/C kits you could easily make 600-625 rwhp on pump gas. If your tuner is down to run meth or E85 you could push it harder and go for 700-725rwhp with more boost and timing.

Most of the time 6-speed guys are not getting stunning 60fts, but usually have great mph to brag about. It's a difficult task to launch these late vettes with manuals really well compared to a auto setup.

With a good clutch and drag pack I'd expect you could run mid 10's with 650-700rwhp.

We have a few good dealers down in your area if you want to send me an email or call the shop for more info.

PS- Here is A&A setup I did back at my old shop with similar mods you are planning. Start clip at about 2:55 to get to the good stuff.

Here's my old corvette that one of my friends ended up with.

Its an 08 base model (no options) with 92,500 miles. We installed an A&A kit (Si-V3) with stock boost and the alky control kit.

Its got our ported intake manifold, throttle body, 230/234 Camshaft, kooks 1-7/8" Z06 headers and Z06 catback. Stock Heads and believe it or not, its still on the stock clutch.

Made 501 rwhp NA, 695 rwhp with the blower, and 740 rwhp with the meth (but we detuned it slightly because one of the knock sensors took a crap.

So yes, its possible! =)

Talk to Randy at Ragin Racin and he will answer all your questions; he's located in Scott, LA just west of Baton Rouge. He's got a good staff and shop that can get you where you want to be, he's also a forum member; if you look in the c6 parts section for sale you will find him advertising supercharger installs for 6100.00.

Twin turbo.

Honestly for 800-1000rwhp I don't think it is worth the hassle. Blowers work great on these cars. That is coming from a turbo lover.

I say I'd TT because of a few reasons. Let me say this first, I have the ECS kit, and its great, but as I get close to stroking my engine to a 402, and the RPM drivetran, I might as well go TT. The next thing is the TT kits are not alot more when you consider the stuff I've already done, plus, its more unique. That's me.

This was in a new Camaro....but same stock LS3 short block as your Vette...

Pushing a stock LS3 short block on pump gas and a big cam.

Specs before the blower install
  • LG Super Pro Long Tubes and exhaust
  • LG G5 Velocity CAI
  • LG G6X3 cam kit
  • LG ported LS3 heads (11.4:1 compression)
  • FAST 102 intake
  • NW 102 TB
  • ASP underdrive
  • Centerforce DYAD clutch
  • DSS shaft and axles
  • Weld RTS 17" wheels
  • 93 pump gas

Before blower numbers vs how it first arrived to us. (517 rwhp)

The above graph was how the car arrived to us about a year ago vs the install of the FAST 102 combo, G6X3 cam, LG ported LS3 heads, and full LG Super Pro exhaust. As you can see it would a stout NA build from the get go, and all components were left un-touched before the blower install.

Procharger front mount 3 core intercooler

F1A Head unit going on

Race by-pass valve

F1A kit finished.

Alky Controls Methanol kit going in

The car is still running on 93 pump gas with the same heads and cam...for those of you that don't think you can force a G6X3

I'd throw in a D1SC also but these are great suggestions. I wouldn't bother with the v2. Just need a good tuner.
