Default thoughts running a '13 GT500

I recently purchased a 2010 GS with a Paxton on it. no idea the specs on output. With that little bit of info, any idea how I would fair against my buddy. He is running 11.7 at 127 pure stock.

How much power are you making? M6 or A6? Stock tires or DR's? Assuming that ECS tuned the car since you're in NJ, you shouldn't have too much trouble with your friend's Shelby. If you don't have meth I would suggest you take a trip to ECS and have them add it and retune

not sure how much I make. I'm figuring at least 540ish. A6 car on stock size for me (stock for him as well)
With the meth they should be able to tune more aggressively correct

No headers, I doubt it. I'd say under 600 whp with meth and stock ls3/A6. I ran a 651 with meth/headers/cam on a ls2/A6. That was with 18 degrees timing.

Agreed. Headers and meth you should be at 650rwhp with LS3 and an ECS kit.

LOL the 13 gt500 needs a new driver then! There is no way you are running below an 11.6/11.7 with a stall and tune unless your car is a track car only gutted slicks etc

the 13 gt500's are over 662hp... I know they are heavy buy still they would take a mostly stock vette every time

I ran a 7.35 in the 1/8th mile. Should translate to at least an 11.6 in the 1/4 if not better.

My car is stock other than a stall and drag radials. Put down an earth shattering 365 whp lol.

You should post up a slip in the drag racing section i think you would be one of the fastest almost stock cars there

My 10 GS A6 with just the ECS kit made 540 to the tire and went mid/low 11s on factory tires, but was very tricky to drive once the power came on. With headers, catted X pipe and meth we got up to 630 and went 10.60s at 135 on 19in MT drag radials. Now unrestricted with a fuel system it puts down 725 and should easily be in the 9s as long as it hooks.

I'd say you should have no issues with you friends car.

You should be able to cover the Ford. Drag radials should be a given. It's really hard to run at that power level on regular street tires. If you don't dust him, let us know where you are running and I'm sure there are many Vettes here that would enjoy smoking a GT 500:-)

Well neither one of us will be on DR's for now. But now you've forced me to kick his ***

Your car is pretty well set up for the drag strip. I'd bet something like a 40 MPH roll race would be a much different story. Stock GT500s trap somewhere in the 126-127 range.
