Was that caused by launching?

No digs just made some easy highway pulls then got on it in 2nd once and it just let go. Went strait to redline and felt like it was in neutral. Going back with a harden shaft and going to wait for a built rear later.

Didn't notice any diff upgrades in your list. If none are done I would do the shafts in the diff while it is apart. Ask me how I know.

Last thing you want is to find the next weak link right away, like I have done a few times.

I had the exact same failure. No launches from a dig, either. I think at the time the car was making a little over 660 whp.

Mine went while having a little fun on a canyon road. I didn't notice my revs spike or anything, though. I gave it a quick 3rd gear burst on a short straight then let off. Next time I tried to accelerate at all, it felt like I had the clutch pushed in.

I'd do a 30-spline shaft and a Z06 or ZR1 diff while it's apart, but that's just me. I'm happy my GS already has the 30-spline setup. One less thing to worry about.

Replacement output shaft should be at the shop and no update on the ATI kit yet. If it doesn't come soon may try to get a IW kit in. We'll see but I'll try to get him to post.

Shaft came in today so going to put it back together and maybe tighten up the tune thats on there now with this big 6rib pulley. Also have been waiting on this Ati 8 rib kit that will ship out on the 22 of this month. Once it goes back we will pulley way down then try some spray and see how it likes it.

How bad was the output shaft torn up? Did it fail like Ife's?

Wow, that is more of the expected break. I think you will be happy if you went back with the RPM 300M shaft. When Allan did my trans, he was very impressed by it.

That is the one reason I'm glad I have a z06. The output shaft/etc are nice upgrades over the base vette. I should just get a built rear and sell my whole tranny/diff to a base vette owner but the number of them around here making any power is slim.

Anyways, badass build. Should be a great setup in the end.

Thank you, i am looking to build the rear just not this soon maybe by the end of the year. Talked to Futral today and they went ahead and did a little refresh on the tranny while it was out and will be putting it back together tomorrow or early next week. Still waiting on my ati kit and needs some more break in miles. Might get some more dyno time and switch over to SD while it's over there now.

Just got it all back together, went ahead and refreshed the tranny up with the output shaft changed. Going to pick it up tomorrow. Then back whenever ATI sends my 8rib and procharger sends me my really small pulley

No still don't have it finished. But it's a blast so far at this power. Seems to make power everywhere and pulls hard up top. I've been collecting parts such as the stealth meth tank from ALKY and planing on doing some paint work, 8rib, and tune next month to finish it up.
