Its a MANual. I thought it was a good deal because it comes with the gauges/pod and everything but the pulley keyway is included.
Also it was on a g/d dry sump manual.
But if its only $5k new , its not that great of a deal unless I can get it for $3,500.00..but hes got a lot of interest already and its still on the car.

I agree. I just went for some freeway pulls the other day, and man, it's like a different car when you drop a coupla hundred HP into it.. But you probably already know that with the '55.

All I can say about the wife, bro, is,

$4500 is way too much for that kit. I would say $3750 at the most, but $3,600 would be a good deal.

What is going to happen if your transmission breaks or your engine gets damaged? Have you budgeted for fuel system modifications, a tune, new tires when the other ones wear out quicker?

It's not easy to think about, but you have to be able to afford the unforseen things that can happen in addition to the cost of the supercharger kit.
these are all factors to ponder before you start
I have added F/I to two Corvette's. You need a pocketbook that's a little deeper to start with.

I know, I just dropped in a c5 ls1 in my 69 Camaro this time last year, thought I would have plenty of $$$ left over for a supercharger for both the Camaro and vette. It cost 5 times what most guys say it did.
What do you guys think of the cheap turbo kits on flea bay... I pretty much know but figured I would ask.

Enjoy the GS and other toys and just wait to do it right or it will cost you even more down the road. (this includes telling your wife)

I was just offered a slightly used Magnisun from a vendor on this site for $3,800.000
If I had my pick that the one I would want, and I have the hood for it.
Just need to come up with the $$$ for it.
I wish I could wait but it a now or never thing.
I will buy the basics and improve on it later.

It sounds like $3500 is about bottom $$$ for a used kit.

Looks like it. but most are around $4k.
I can do $4k it if its complete.
The cheapest new is $5,600.00 then tuning.
The vssi kit I found is but for a manual g/s I need to buy a new radiator for some reason.
That will bring cost way up.
So I need to find a used kit for a ls3 g/s dry sump? HUMMM

I wouldn't buy a used blower kit, but that's just a personal thing I guess. Maybe if you could find a deal on a "never installed" kit still in the packaging. Chances are something like that isn't going to save you all that much money, though. The best deals of the year usually come around Black Friday. That's when I bought my A&A system a few years back.

If money is that tight, you should really just hold off on adding any type of forced induction to your car. Honestly, the unexpected can happen when you start ****ing with these cars. I have a new '13 GS too, and if I didn't have the extra cash laying around to buy a new engine (if needed), I wouldn't be putting a blower on it.

I do have a blower system I'm going to be installing very soon, but I also have the means to fix anything on the car that might break after I add the extra power. If you can't afford to fix it if it breaks, leave it stock for now. That's my advice anyway.

What do you guys think of this just listed? need a radiator but must act fast if it a good deal.
Not worried about breaking anything, I can fix anything and come up with the money if it essential..a blower is a non essential part.
Also as I explained its a now or never thing.
If I could but new it would be a roots style but at over $8k no way.
If I could find a good deal I would buy it but I would not spend the 45,800-$8k for a new one if I had too much money.
Thanks for all the opinions though.

[QUOTE=Gabbiani;1586032463]$3500 will be the bottom end for a complete kit. Be careful because these things can really nickle and dime you even if the seller says it is complete.

That is very true about a used kit will nickle and dime you, because I bought a twin turbo kit from a seller here and he stated it was a complete kit minus replacing turbo housings and ended up costing me a lot more. Make sure you conduct a complete inventory if you buy used.

If it's back to me ill not buy a used kit, whatever the deal was .. IMO you should save the cash for a new kit, also add some more picture for your GS.

thanks.

I bought a uses a&a months ago for $3,500.00 . it came complete with everything, dewits, hoses, fuel booster, 2 blow off valves, 2 sets of hoses, but I had to buy a crank pin kit, oil, belt and a few new clamps.
Came in around $3,700.00 + tuning that Im still waiting for.
Now Im trying to find used headers before the tune appointment.
There are lots of people selling /trading in their c6 that are not getting any more most times loss for any performance parts so they are removing them.
