Default Finally Dynoed, Thanks for the support

Finally got my car on the dyno. Didn't go well. Made 1.5 pulls. 2nd pull the charge pipe blew off the blower and there is no way to get it back on without pulling the blower so no tuning/etc was done. Made one baseline pull. AFR was ~10.5 and 14 degrees timing. 91 octane + Alky Control Dual nozzle.

Wanted to thank a lot of people that helped me with my build.

Dave Steck@DSXTuning for letting me annoying him with a bunch of tuning questions
Matt@FSP for the same plus annoying him in general
Matt/Doug/Chris@ECS for hooking me up with parts and a killer deal on the blower kit
Anthony@LG for the sweet deal on the headers, hood, shift **** and being supportive
Tony@UMS for the dyno time, he rocks
Kevin/Ben@AGP for letting me use their shop and annoy them
Brock/Heath Besner@Premier Performance for all the sweet deals and some help wrenching on the car
Livernois for building a nice shortblock
Taylor@DP
TSP for nice heads/support

I'll have to add more later as a bunch of people supported me building this in my garage.

Boost hit 18psi at 5500 and just stayed there. Damn belt slip. I guess I need a 10 rib. Made one baseline pull seen below.

That is air filter on, ECS Ysi kit, LSX 427.

Yah, I'm happy. The belt slip still annoys me. I'm surprised it made this through the airfilter/dongle. Pulling it is another 40+hp. Swapping to a full 4" inlet with shorter radiator for sure. Not sure what to do about the belt slip. I may just live with it.

I know, in fact I may just put the 3" pulley on it and not care. That is enough power either way, just don't like the fact that the belt slips. I'll get it fixed up this afternoon. Drove home sounding like a toro leaf blower since the blower was just blowing into the engine bay. Pipe came off right on the blower outlet.

Congrats on the great results!!

Crazy power considering the belt slip, low timing and rich AFR... Thru an air filter/dongle no less.... It would make 1100+ on that dyno for sure once you get it dialed in.

Those are some great numbers. What was the CR of your engine? Do you plan on using a 17" or 15" tire in the rear?

Nice numbers.
I had the same issue with the charge pipe. I was able to repair without pulling the blower off to continue running at the Texas Mile. After that I remove the blower and cut groves in the outlet housing. Used better clamps and double clamped. No issues after that repair.

2.75" upper, 8.0" lower 8 rib with a DP direct drive.

Motor has ~4k miles and hasn't missed a beat. Livernois 9.7:1 pistons, stock chambered heads so compression should be 9.7.

Matt said he can get a 530 belt on, I'm using a 537 which was a pain. He said that should fix the slip but I don't know if I want to wrestle with that, maybe.

Gates green 80537.

Matt says a 530 will fit. The 537 was a pain to get on by myself, so I'll need a hand to try to jam a 530 on it. Belt was almost touching itselfs so I had to back it off so going tighter on a shorter belt is definitely a possibility. We overlayed it with a cogged Ysi on a camaro and curves were spot on until 5500 where mine noses over and his goes up to 22psi at 6500.

Boost curve from dyno

Still great results! This however is exactly why we only use a 10 rib system with our YSI/Novi2200R kits. If you would like to upgrade to that I can see about putting together a great deal for you as always.
BTW, did you log voltage during the passes?

Great numbers! I noticed you got rid of the fast, curious why?
