Default WARNING: RSI fuel system leaking

I have had RSI Stage 4 fuel system now 1.5 years old and run E85.

Took car to the lift few days ago to oil change etc. and noticed fuel leak.. Wondering WTF, one AN8 at the fuel hanger must be loose or something like that.

Took fuel tank off and plug where the harness comes up is the leak.. So it cannot stand alcohol I think.

See attached pic. If anyone else drive RSI system I prefer to recheck this..

And I had finally fuse/ cable over heating/ melting problem also.. RSI never sent new upgraded harness.. F**k them and few other vendors here, I'm tired to "high quality" "bolt-on" bulls**t..

They quit making corvette fuel systems so getting parts might be hard already that's what I was told the last time I called them about a fuel system.

I had to dig all the crap out of there. Reseal Gus's car car because it did the same thing. I used RTV rated for gas. Aviation # 3 then JB weld up top. Its takes alot of time to do this repair without doing damage to the harness. But its still holding so far and we are approaching a year.. Sucks I feel the same way :/

Ethanol eats rubber. Somewhat related, but that's why even with auto fuel STC pilots never run auto fuel with ethanol unless the system is designed to handle it. Lucky it lasted as long as it did.

Good catch though, could of been really hazardous if not found.

That plug you have there actually looks like the updated one that was supposed to eliminate any seepage. I have one sitting on the shelf that we never used as we have never had a issue with the original plug. Odd you are having issues with this.

The rubber on mine broke down within 500 miles and that was with 91 octane. Resealed it all with JB weld and haven't had an issue since. I just sold mine for $250 and I'm in process of swapping to a Fore hat. Much nicer setup and fore is on top of customer service. The owner called me Saturday to chat for an hour about corvette fuel systems. Can't beat that.

I used the regular JB weld. The RTV is what I used as the primary containment.

Regular JB weld. Holds up fine to fuel. I can post a ton of fore photos tonight if you want. Just looks like a big piece of AL.

From my understanding RSI has been having quite a bit of customer issues recently. Have a search over on viperalley.
