Default Build advice for 600-650rwhp on Ls3 GS.....

Ok so I am about to pull the trigger on a 12 Grand Sport. Manual trans. I wanna row gears. Want an all day long 10sec car..no matter the DA or track prep. (I know an auto is better for dragstrip...not as fun)
600-650rwhp goal and the D1 Procharger can be turned way up later if I want to get crazy.*So some prelim ideas:
FI....D1 Procharger kit. Run around 10-12 lbs boost, cai, headers and boost cam...missing anything? Meth or e85 as well?
Or stay NA....with headers, giant cam, heads worked, cai, injectors and e85.
For both... a Mcleod RXT twin disc clutch with fly wheel. Go with different rearend suggested while the trans is out? Who has the skinny on the best price and hook up for these parts? Also pros and cons for these set ups? I'm open to suggestions on all parts as I'm not familiar with best bang for buck for the Ls3 vettes. I just sold my 09 Cts-v with 615rwhp so I'm famliar with the LSA platform with FI and supporting mods but not the Ls3vettes as much. $10k budget lets say for mods. Thats labor and parts.
Thx in advance guys!

This is a nobrainer: ECS Paxton 1500, meth and headers. Just on the fringe of the budget installed (unless you get a deal) but you'll make 700+ whpr all day long.

I did the above, their stage 1 fuel system, 4.10s, Mantic clutch, z06 exhaust, cam and other supporting mods and made 760 whp on a LS2, manual transmission in 100 degree heat. My car has been making this power for 4 years. I have no qualms driving anywhere in the car. On ling trips, it still turns in 29-30 mpg. Reliable, streetable and fast.

Mcleod RXT Twin
1 7/8 LT's
Heads

NX or Nitrous Outlet Plate 150 hit w Nano
Dedicated system if you run bigger shot or E85

Your first option with the Procharger, cam, meth, etc is the way to go. I have that setup and it works great.

D1, cam, meth, clutch, and headers. Do the dp bigmouth intake and the stock procharger pulley and you will see 700 easy and should be hitting low 10s at upper 134-139.

D1SC Procharger cam meth and headers and a clutch and be done. I don't know 1st hand if it will run 10's down the track but I will say I hurt a bunch of biker's feelings (liter bikes) in mexico with that setup.

power under the curve doesn't mean jack if you can't put it to the ground. In my opinion, a car with as much torque as this, there is no need for massive power off idle, you can't use it. I think it is better suited to the top end of a centri.

Since A&A makes a better Procharger bracket it would be kind of cool if they were a Procharger dealer so you could just buy a whole kit from them. Or maybe a whole kit minus the blower.

I would call Andy and see if he could pick together a kit minus the blower if you want to do a Procharger. Also ask them about getting the larger blow off valve if you eventually plan on going over 650-700rwhp. They use the new Turbosmart BOV called the "Big Bubba" that is a high capacity valve to support big horsepower applications. If you are staying at 650-700rwhp you could just use their standard Turbosmart BOV that is included in their kits.

I don't think the debate of "not putting it down" has been brought up yet but you're right....it's only 600rw....

?

Any opinions on drivetrain upgrades? Is an upgraded differential mandatory? With FI is it just a matter of time until the rear end fails? How about axles? Transmission?

Forum sponsor RPM Transmissions seems to have a solid reputation.

you certainly don't need a lot of mods to break past 650rw... Personally not a fan of cam's so I stayed away from that.

Headers/meth/supercharger for me and I'm 655rwhp and 630rwtq with a conservative tune as my car is my DD.

you are WELL within your 10k budget and then some!

You haven't mentioned how you intend to use this on the street.

I have ~600RWHP, but I can drive in 3MPH SoCal fwy traffic like it is stock. If I added a cam that would be a lot harder to deal with. Plus, gas mileage is important to some people, and cams rob that. But if it's just a garage queen for the strip, who cares?

And for the record, S/C's lower mileage too. Ask me how I know.

McLeod RST(800hp rated) or RXT(1000hp rated) are good cost effective options. The Centerforce DYAD is another. Mantic is a good clutch, though a bit spendy in my opinion. Although if you drag race it, the Mantic might be worth a look. Not sure how those other two hold up to launching hard. U would only worry about diff and axle upgrades if you are drag racing it.

You do know that the Mantic and those other clutches you listed are around the same price right? Plus it comes with a slave, remote bleeder, throw out bearing, and can't forget the baller case.
