Default most bang for your bucks head job ;)

which would give you best value of the 3 with a ysi powered ls7. current boost 7 but looking to pump 16 once bottom end is sorted. want to fix value issue b4 it becomes an issue

1: stock ls7 heads, ported with stainless valves
2: prc ls7 heads
3: mast 305 ls7 heads

is it cheaper to buy the 2 aftermarket heads and sell the stock heads off and also less expense than porting stock items? i dont plan on going over 1000rwhp. 850 is the goal. more than enough for a streeter

Option #1 will be good enough for 850 hp.

I'm aware all 3 options will make the desired power levels but is it cheaper to buy aftermarket heads n sell off ur stock heads or just redo the stock heads? If the cost is minimally more fur after markets u would be mad not to go that way

If you do go past 850-900rwhp, you are going to want an aftermarket head with thicker decks. Otherwise, just send your stock heads to WCCH to have them done. With how many issues stock LS7 heads have, I'm not sure what they are worth being stock. I would look into that before deciding on selling them.

What's the cost of redoing ls7 heads with new valves compared to ready to bolt on new pcr or mast 305 heads with hardware?

From the WCCH website:

WCCH-GM Stage 2 CNC LS7 Heads
We machine your supplied castings. Price includes hot tank and blast cleaning, installing bronze valve guides, our Stage 2 CNC port program, competition valve job, surface milling and new stainless steel exhaust valves. The titanium intake valves are cleaned, inspected and tumble polished to help reduce valve guide related wear.

$1518

Platinum dual spring kit add $325
Manley 221435 Dual spring kit add $592.63
Flow data: http://proheads.com/WCCH%20LS7.html

The PRC heads with titanium intake valves and stainless exhaust in a 6 bolt head are $3199. If you do hollow stainless intake and stainless exhaust they are $2699. PRC 4 bolt heads start as stock GM castings. So if you aren't doing 6 bolt, I would just get WCCH to rebuilit and port your stock heads. If you can't stand the down time, then buy the PRC's.

ok cool. its a no brainer for me then. 2k to redo my heads of 3k for new heads less the 1k to sell mine. ends up the same price to do mine or a brand new set of prc 285s. i dont mind spendin the extra buks as long as its cost effective. pretty much why im trying to buy a complete crate built engine xsuit boost then sell my stock ls7 off. the upgrade is cheaper than building my stock ls7.

Less down time as well. I want to send my blower off for an upgraded Ti compressor wheel, but I hate the 2-3 week wait.
