MPG 05/06 C6 w/ Supercharger?
Sold my Vette almost 2 yrs ago and have the itch for another.
What are the effects of a supercharger on Gas Mileage?
What are you guys seeing, real world?
Thanks!

Okay, so it'll read less mpg, but if I do the math when I fill up it is minimal?
How much is minimal in your experience. What does your avg. mpg run?
I will be commuting up to 30mi one way once I get my promotion, so if it is too much off I will just keep it N/A.

Depends on the tune. You will not fool the DIC if you use a non proportional tune. If I were to use a proportional tune (a tune used on 06s & 07s supplied by Edelbrock and a SCT handheld programmer), my 07 would have inaccurate DIC information on Instant MPGs and miles left in tank. Edelbrock chose to lie to the ECM and use a proportional tune in the 06 & 07 models because of MAF and Injector size limitations. My car has a non-proportional EFILive tune in it and the DIC is accurate.
I have larger injectors and had NO change in my gas mileage. The only difference is WOT runs as the SC will need more gas and thus you will get less mileage. But hell, energizing the SC is not for mileage records in the first place. Cruising on the highway with the SC installed, I found NO noticeable difference in gas mileage from my stock setup as long as I stay out of boost.
The Edelbrock tune for 08s and up is non-proportional. Other SC systems are usually tuned by the installer using EFILive or HPTuners and have non-proportional tunes.

I have an 07 with a TVS 2300 Maggie by Lingenfelter. Highway cruising has no reduction in fuel mileage, 28-30. But, back roads and just general driving, it is just too much fun to put your foot in it. The best I do on trips via back roads is about 23mpg, around town about 16-18. These are calculated, not DIC.

A blower set up has virtually no effect on highway mileage if tuned correctly. Blower setups have a vacuum operated bypass valve that stays open unless you are in boost, so during cruising speeds you are using the motor normally aspirated.
You will have some parasitic loss from turning the blower, but there is no resistance since it is blowing out the bypass valve into the atmosphere. Now, when you get on it and the bypass valve closes, your mileage will tank, but you won't care.

I have the A&A kit (with 60 lb. injectors, 530 rwhp) with ARH long tubes on my '07 LS2 through an A6 with 2:56 gears. I have gone on several long road trips before and after the supercharger installation and tested maximum fuel economy at sustained 70-75 mph cruising speeds in both modes. The DIC reads the same now as before (around 30 mpg at 1500 rpm/70 mph) however the actual mileage has dropped about 1.5 mpg on average even when not in boost mode. I think that it's still a good trade off however since I can still get 28 mpg while cruising along at 70-75 mph (as long as I keep my foot out of it).

MPG '09 C6 w/ tvs 2300 S/C
If i keep it around 60 on hwy and 30-40 in town. It will yield 30mpg all day.Thats using a great deal of discipline. Not bad for 580rwp and coincides with what others are saying

This same question has been asked many times before and some diligent reading can help you find that answer.
Next, you really need to have an honest idea how you plan to use the car.
Once you have an idea of the power you want to make and how you will use the car-daily driver, 1/4 mile, road race occasionally, etc., open your own thread so that others can see it and respond.
Generally, a question like yours hidden in another thread won't get the response you are looking for.
Good luck!

I have a 2005 with a Vortech V2 T-trim kit on it with stock pulley. Like others have said - on the highway there is very little difference..at 70 it's 27mpg at 80 around 23mpg. In town, there is no way to keep my foot out of the pedal. If the speed limit is 45, I'm getting to 45 in about 1.8 seconds If you do this, you could virtually pour gas out of your tank slower as it gobbles it up. I haven't reset the DIC in a long time, it still says 16.8 average.

I supercharged my 11 with procharger with a more aggressive CAM. That really dropped the MPG. I'm lucky if I get 11-15mpg city and 21-23 on highway.
I would go with just a supercharger ...and your not really going to notice much change at all in MPG

I supercharged my 09 with procharger at 6psi....very little if any drop off on MPG unless your boosting all the time.

With the supercharger you can choose when to force more fuel and air into the engine while cams are always letting more air in and thus more fuel.
To the OP. I enjoy being able to put it in 6th on the highway going 55-60 and get 28 mpg. Then on the same highway I can drop it into 2nd and spin the tires at 60... but that's when my gas mileage sucks. I do a lot of city driving and it really kills the average fuel economy no matter how light footed you are.
