LOL I wish. Found out yesterday that my block is now furniture. No big loss. Just opens my piston choices up. It'll be a while before I'm busy.

Great results! When i had cutouts on stock coupe mufflers I saw 625 closed and 650 open ~ 5% gain in HP on my retune I was doing 705 closed and 745 opened. The sound difference was incredible too

Jeff, I think if you put a screen on it and stock mufflers it would be a winning combo. Esp for TI.

Yea, I threw the stock mufflers back on it asap over the weekend (it was unbelievably loud). I can get the DP intake off and on in about 5 min, so I'll probably play it by ear if I'm going to pull it or not. From what I've seen w/ guys running screen covers, they are almost more restrictive than what my filter would be, so I'd just run it fully open on my passes if the track was clean.

not to bump an ancient thread but just to add to the knowledge base here...... on my old setup with a funky exhaust from previous owner, which is kooks headers to 3" X pipe but necks down to 2.5" a foot after the X and then goes to 2.5" cutouts and back to flowmaster dual mufflers with 2.5 piping all the way, at 760whp the cutouts open were only worth ~5-7whp, so even with crpapy exhaust I think the mufflers on these cars are just not that restrictive until you get up to 1k whp or something.

did the mufflers in this test have the "muffler mod" done to them? curious if that is worth any whp or not

thats bad as$, I didn't realize you were still on z06 mufflers and that was mad through them.

does your z06 muffler setup have the "muffler mod" done or just unopened stock mufflers?

Sorry I Def didn't have the same result. When my car was N/A it made more power with the cutouts opened. Not sure how his made less. My testing was also back to back with results. I can post graphs If needed.

But could you be making 1450-1500 rwhp with better flowing mufflers or cut outs.? That is the question..
