Default Meth nozzle placement in silicone coupler, pic inside advise needed.

Ok,

So I got my 4" charge pipe from A&A the other day and just doing a few test fits, at same time putting in the meth kit (installed) just need to secure the nozzle.

My concern is if you look on that pic, if I were to place the nozzle into the charge pipe, its only about 1" away from the MAF, now I know that by time it turns on the airflow/boost will not let the spray pattern go backwards, but I would still rather be nice and safe 2" away.

This leaves me with installing the nozzle into the silicone coupler, I'm using the Alkycontrol kit, and the nozzle comes with two washers that are padded, has anyone placed the meth nozzle by the TB, and or has anyone had any issues plumbing it into the silicone coupler.

Thanks!

Also, my IAT will be inside the intake manifold just below the MAP sensor so it will get hit for added timing when meth is on.

I have the same kit and installed my nozzle before the TB in the silicone coupler. I used one washer on the inside of the coupler so it wouldn't pull through. I put mine at the 6 oclock position.

Thank you, ohh wow interesting, so basically mount it under the tb ?

Wondering why it would set off a code, do you remember which codes?

Good thing I'm not planning on pushing more than 650rwhp, so one nozzle should be enough, otherwise would look funny if one was 6 and other 12'oclock.

thank you!

Yes under throttle body. I can't remember the code but it seems to happen on some boosted cars. So I went ahead and put mine at 6 oclock. I've ran about 5 gallons thru so far with no issues. Alkycontrol is a great kit.

Thanks I shall do that, very exciting just finishing up all the other little things.

You know you love corvettes when you spend all your weekends tinkering with them. Pretty sure it rides me more than I ride it.

Does this look good?

Also pic of where IAT sensor is now just behind the TB used the Fast response ZR1 style IAT threaded in, its on there like a rock, nicely leveled.

Looks like a nice install. Keep in mind that is a filter which should be checked once in a while. I do it at oil change intervals.

FYI: Use red loctite so the little brass nozzle can't fall into intake later.

Thanks! I was actually going to ask that same question, figured maybe check it from time to time if its loosening, but red loctite sounds like a good idea

BTW thanks for the intake fits great Josh!

Could you explain exactly what you used and how to mount the iat in the intake like that? I am a rookie and cannot find the correct tap size, which i have been told is 9/16 npt. doesnt seem like that size exists when i look online, or i am doing it wrong haha. thanks!

sorry, I told you 9/16 because that's what you wrote. You need to drill 9/16ish hole, and run a 3/8 npt pipe tap through the hole.

Why are you using the ls3 maf on your ls2? Just noticed that in the pictures.
