Haha, I'd say it depends on how the car is setup and how much power...the more sidewall can help in weight transfer with a stiff suspension allowing the car to get a "hole shot" and then the tire can grow more to help with gearing possibly, but the extra sidewall can actually slow the car down if it's not needed

I talked to the guy at LG and he said its more important to get correct camber when making a hwy pull so the tire contact patch is largest

That is important as well, but you asked about tires...camber can change as the vehicle's suspension is loaded with an IRS, pressure is another very important variable in maximizing the contact patch

That's what I meant it seemed like he was saying contact patch was more important than sidewall from a roll so I wondered if 15s would be a benefit in a race like this. We're you leaning toward running them?

Ok, I agree...no it's actually one of their customers who runs them (dsp300c) and might be coming out if he gets his new build dialed in, my car is slow and only plan on watching

All the Supra's run 15's along with the fbody's. I have a 15in 275 on my car and have no problem laying down all of my power in 2nd gear.

If that's what it takes then I'd do it. The only problem I see here is that TI happened to fall on the same weekend as the LSX shootout
