Default Race Proven Motorsports 25.3 C6Z06

We havent said much about this lately after it went 8.58@ 165 on pump gas.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKg2h...&feature=g-upl

We are going to be running in some X275 classes so we brought it to Rhodes Custom Auto. He is by FAR the most talented chassis shop i have ever seen. His work is unreal how clean it is. Here is a few pics of how our car looks now. We will be making a few changes to the setup once we get the car back. We have a Holley Dominator for it and we switch it to an RPM Transmissions powerglide and 9 Inch setup. We got alumistars for the front and will be running a 15 inch rear wheel. We will be running on race gas since most classes consider Meth a second power adder. We also have about another 10-15 PSI of boost to go.

I will update this thread as we have updates.

I didn't even see the youtube link in the OP. I've had that video in my favorites list for quite sometime now after I started researching different turbo setups. I saw the pictures posted in this thread and immediately started drooling.

Good luck with the build!

It's so weird seeing a Corvette without the floor boards. Very cool!

It looks good. Keeping it along center line of camshaft is ideal.

Mounting the chute too low will lift the rear of the car when it opens.
Also... if the chute is mounted too low it will fumble around behind the car instead of filling with air.
The last two parachute-equipped cars I had... the chute was actually mounted high and at an upward angle to deploy into the airstream coming off the rear wing/spoiler. That helps them fill with air / deploy quickly and predictably... instead of getting tangled up in the wheelie bars.

Looks to me like Fran's is mounted exactly where it belongs.
