7 second true street c6Z build starts now!
and I need YOUR help!
I bought my z06 not long ago to poke around the platform and see if it was what I wanted as my next build. IT IS!!! but this one is too nice to hack up.
I have engine/safety/turbo/management outlined and am making phone calls.
-i need a roller c6z that i can title in VA
-i need a reasonable offer on my 17.5k mile z06 (42k ish)
-i need a reasonable offer on my trans am (32k ish)
I am tired of waiting for a thousand here or there, put the feelers out, help me so I can get this done and give you guys a bad *** thread to follow and a bad *** car to pull for.
Hopefully some of you are as excited as I am about this, and can throw in some input but mainly i need a car to start on, preferably black!
-will be IRS
-will run on e85
-will have auto trans
-will have two turbos
-will have stock interior and general engine bay appearance.
-ls2 based 427 with ls7 style heads
-single liquid intercooler
-titled registered and insured
-7.50 3 back to back pass average in true street trim.
looking to have this making shakedown 2014
thoughts comments welcome!

i forgot to add, the $250 bonus also applies to anyone that connects me with a buyer for either car at 42k/32k. if the buyer finds me on his own thru this post. he gets -250.
putting in my requests for some of the long lead time items tomorrow. done with waiting, time to push.

With a positive effort a 7.50 IRS street car can be built but how long will it go 7.50 and still mentain streetability. Would it continue to have all the accessories with traction control and ABS, will it continue to be power steering because most of the guys who claimed streetable and even entered street class races don't have those factory comfort any longer.

Hey Dave,
Pass on the Z06 and get a Base C6. You will struggle to get the Z to pass Tech as its awefull hard to weld Bars to the alum chassis (hint Hint)

Wow, I've followed what you've done with the F-body platform since you had the Formula. I'm really looking forward to see how far you can push a C6 and still have a tame car. Good luck Dave, as stated before you may want to look at a base C6. 05's are getting really cheap.

- assuming things lay out the way i have them in my head, it would not be necessary to lose any streetability. my t/a made 4 8.5 passes betwee 70 mile trips to and from the drag strip, and that is quite the mild (and heavy) combo. putting that set up in a z car alone would be a 7 second average and it has cathedral heads and a single t-4 turbo!
-dont really want the weight penalty of the steel frame tho it is not completely out of the question as id rather have a steel car than no car!
-however if one person can get a 7.5 legal bar in a z.. then that makes it possible for anyone.
