Not sure how effective it would be. The intercooler core sits right above the runners. There is little room between the top cover and the intercooler core to install a spray nozzle. If he installed a normal type nozzle in the rear of the housing below the core, I doubt the the distribution of the fluid would be very good, because a single nozzle there would flood the nearest ports and the front ports would not get much. Now if the guy was to install a spray bar across all the runners on each bank that would insure each runner gets a good dose as long as the spray bar was designed right. I have heard of a few spray bar installs but they took a LOT of experimentation to make work.

That to would be hard to do because the cores in the blower case are glued in place. Just remove the top cover which is very easy to do, then you will get a good idea as to how its all constructed.

Ive had it opened up, it was the first thing I did. I'm not real familiar with meth nozzles or spray bars. I'm hoping the experts will chime in and help. Although they will probably just say spray into the intake tube. I'm just looking for that little extra. My intake seems to hover around 105*-111* and ECT @ 180*ish in 65* dry air. My tuner said he starts pulling timing @ 80*iat so I think an optimized meth system would really help.

Pulling timing at 80 doesn't sound right. You will never see less than 80 when pushing an eforce.

I think its a fairly conservative tune @ 10* timing and 11* burst knock slowly pulled out till about 3500rpm. (11.4 afr average)
That being said, it put down 495hp 485tq on a Mustang dyno which is right on par with other E-forces Ive seen so it doesn't seem to bad.
I trust my tuner and he will retune for free forever on this car so there is no problem dialing it in to my liking.
I think if I add meth(no matter where) Ill just have him pull the BKR to smooth it out in the lower rpm.

Just run 100% meth in the inlet tube. It will not kill the supercharger.

Sounds like the inlet temp sensor is not working right or is still at the maf. Just finished another edelbroke kit and the inlet temp was 100-110 while cruising and 140 at times under boost. Car runs methenol too.

I don't know too much about tuning but my AFR is in line with yours and I'm making 571 HP and 580 tq. My tune is still on the safe side with no kr anywhere. I only added a little power with the meth. Just wanted safety and lower iat's.

That is in line with my temps to. I only get to 140 under heavy boost, like a full run.

I did happen to notice on my Torque app the ambient temps just keep climbing but the temp stays accurate on the ac controls. The iat temps seem accurate 100*-110* in the app. The E-force moves the iat to the map sensor correct?
realcanuk, what drop in temps did you see spraying in the intake? I wonder if 100% meth would drop temps even more.

Is that on a Mustang dyno or a Dynojet, corrected #'s?

The Map is replaced with TMAP. Before meth I would see as high as 170 after a few dyno pulls in succession. You could fry an egg on the eforce. Afterwards I never see over 140 even after 5 pulls. I can rest my hand on the eforce. I am going to increase the flow and see if it cools more but I'm ok with it now because I don't pull timing until 150.

On a dynopak. It is corrected. I'm sure they don't read the same but that's a big difference. If I remember right it was about 15hp more than the dynojet that I was dynoed on right after my eforce install.

WOW no timing pulled till 140*? is that normal? I'm no tuner but 140* and 80* are way different.
Again I'm hoping for the experts to chime in here.

I'm no expert either but if you pull timing at 80, you will always be pulling I think. You can't expect IAT's to be under ambient temps.

Yea but how do I ask my tuner to change that. I'm no expert by any means and I don't want him to say its not safe to do that and just leave it at 80*. I have nothing but internet tuning to refer to for reasons to add timing/temp back in.
He spoke of sporadic knock and said some pd blowers were worse than others. Maybe thats why he was so conservative on temp?

If I remember right my tuner explained like this. On multiple dyno pulls the max temp we got was 140. He tuned safely for no KR or lean spikes on those runs. If the temps get over that its likely a meth failure so we pull a ton of timing and dump in extra fuel. This would save the engine as well as alert you(by the loss of power) to the probable failure.
it makes sense to me and I trust him so I'm good with that. I'm making great power and I'm confident I'm safely tuned. After looking at the first full throttle logs we are going to play a bit with the meth volumes and see if we get cooler temps. Also changing injectors and trying a size smaller pulley soon.

I'm not using meth yet so Ill have to ask more about the tune and try to have him add more timing/temp in.

With a roots type of blower it is common for them to run hot. A tuner rarely to never starts pulling timing at 80 degree's. That will make the cars tune go out of whack and if the timing being pulled is extreme I could see causing engine damage on a cold day running too much timing.
I will ussually 0 out the IAT table till 120 or so then go from there. Really depends on the setup. Playing with timing from 80 degree's up kind of scares me. Could be dangerous on a cold day.

Why? Would it add timing on cold days? I thought it only pulled it out in the heat.
